With all of the electronic, solid state circuitry, coupled with the N1 terminal feeding those electronic circuits from the Aux battery, you could backfeed voltage through the electronics to the array bus. Upon initiating the electrical system, the electronics (diode circuitry) prevents current...
Ouch! Sounds like you didn't isolate the Aux battery and shorted the Aux battery through that main fuse array. Main fuse array is definitely blown...hopefully that is all.
I just installed the Badlands Apex on my 2020 JTR w/OEM steel bumper last weekend. I was looking at the Rock Hard winch plate but ended up going with the Grimm. It was a few $$ more than the RH, but no issues with the install. The winch engage handle just clears the bumper without trimming...
2020 JTR w/54k miles. I have noticed a VERY slight coolant smell for approximately the last 5-7k miles when I pull into the garage with the engine at normal operating temp. Quick looks around the engine bay show no visual indication of leaks. Haven't really tracked coolant level in the tank...
Thanks joethewrangler13 & md2k. I initially had Grimm on my list as well but removed it based on $$. I'll add it back to the list and head back down some of those forum rabbit holes. BTW, I'm not a hard core off-roader. My primary use will be for moving cut trees on my property and the...
Stumbled on a 1-day only sale of 35% off HF Badlands winches yesterday. Picked up the Apex 12k Synthetic for $390 +tax on my way to taking my wife out to lunch for Mother's Day. Now I need a winch plate. Spent last night going down rabbit holes on this forum and am considering either the Rock...
53k miles on my JTR and have only replaced a single coil pack due to intermittent misfire. Unless the OP purchased his from his grandmother, maybe some of the blame should be contributed to the previous owner 🤷♂️
Sorry, can't help with actual; but theoretical gives:
76.1+3.5+((37-33)/2)=81.6" ~6'-10"
Very close to a typical 7' garage door. Parking garages are going to be hit or miss.
This will not prevent ESS from operating. It simply removes the aux battery from the circuit and prevents the self-diagnositcs associated with it from illuminating the warning light on the dash. I thought the same thing initially, but when I did this, the ESS still functioned and I could hear...
Be careful with the tire rotations. I thought i was being smart by finding another Rubicon wheel so I could put the brand new, matching, spare tire into a 5-tire rotation. Here I am 53k miles later, dying to put on 35s, and my damned original 33" tires probably have another 15k left in them. No...
I'm a 7,500 mile guy, which also coincides with 10-11 months (it's my weekend vehicle). If I remember correctly, my oil life % is usually showing around 25% remaining. No scientific basis other than that is what I have done on all my other vehicles and they all have gone well past 120k...
Gladiators do not have a steering wheel lock pin associated with parking the vehicle. Sounds like you had an issue with the turn signal stalk which has a mechanical connection to the steering mechanism which returns the turn signal stalk to the "OFF" position when coming out of a turn.
Was there another code to go along with the P0300? Could you feel the misfire? I had a random misfire that would cause the check engine light to illuminate along with a noticeable cylinder misfire/drop out. I bought an OBD reader and kept it in the vehicle. When it occurred again, I plugged...
To piggyback on what Jefe1018 stated, I wouldn't spend the extra on full-time 4x4 unless I lived in an area where I had to deal with snow-covered roads on a regular basis.
2020 JTR, 45,xxx miles, build date 10/2019. What is this? Where does it go? Was removing main battery for replacement and as I lifted battery out, i heard something rattle around in the bottom of the battery tray. Found this and can't figure out what it does or where it goes.
BTW, this was the...
To the OP; since the oil life indicator algorithm is based on driving characteristics, you could always drive the shit out of it for 5,000 miles...maybe that will get the oil life indicator more in line with your oil change routine.
As another data point, my 2020 JTR has been relegated to a...
