Now that is a head scratcher.....I am an operations guy and would have assumed their was some form of standardization in default settings such as with tire size settings. I would say maybe they measure them and program it in but 32.25 is way over on a 31.5, glad to hear your truck is driving...
Well my thought seems to be incorrect, tire size was set to 31” when I installed the Tazer....I went ahead and changed to 32.5 which is what my tires measured. I didn’t notice any change in the speedometer readings but I am seeing my shift points are changing slightly for the better.
This has been what I was wondering if Jeep uses a default value out of the factory for all models. When I was doing some research on speedometer laws online this weekend what I could find was federal regulations allowing for up to 5% difference between actual and displayed speed with the...
Figured I’d update my experience with my new wheels. I put the 33”s on this morning and did a drive by of one of those speed limit radar signs and my speedometer was spot on at 40 mph. I am leaning more towards not recalibrating but am going to test via gps on the highway as well before I...
I just put these on my sting ray gray. I was able to get the Iron cross rocker steps installed, but it did require I trip to the hardware store as I was short changed 8 5/16" lag bolts....I am sure I got some looks when I had to drive down the road with only the passenger side steps installed...
At Foss I was able to get 3% below invoice. I am sure I could of pushed for lower below invoice but between the price of the JT and there appraisal of my Colorado they hit my target pricing.....not a lot of dealers are like that, when I bought my Chevy at Quirk in Manchester NH last year it took...
I had great luck at Foss Motors in Exeter NH. They were great to work with and did everything they could do on their end to get to the price I was willing to pay.
Thanks guys for the replies. I will most likely go ahead and get a tazer to do the cal, should I be concerned about voiding warranty if I do the cal? I know when I had my Chevy Colorado the dealers service departments would check the on board CPU when checking in for service. They would tell me...
I am toying with the idea of getting a Tazer Lite to recalibrate the speedometer for the 33’s I’ll be putting on my Sport S. Part of me is wondering if it’s necessary going from stock ~31.5” tires to 33”. Besides the speedometer reading slightly lower of a speed is there anything that I am...
