If you had a leak in the PCV system check out the No. 2 (downstream) o2 sensor on the passenger side. If the oil leaks out of the pcv system it can drop on that o2 sensor, and believe it or not it will soak into where the wire connects to the actual sensor and kill it. That happened to mine. Now...
Maybe this will save someone else from feeling dumb. Yesterday I installed the aux switch retrofit, fairly easy installation. Got everything together, programmed in with the tazer, and nothing. No power. I imeadatly assumed I messed something up so I opened up the console to check that I put the...
My jeep dealer is pretty good, my codes kept coming up and resetting so I just logged them when they showed up. They said their was a RRT (RRT #20053) for flashing the ECU, and if that didn't fix the issue, checked the valves and determined there was early wear on the cams so they are going...
I fixed the issue. I pulled and re-seated the fuses. I think one of them had an intermittent contact issue. No problems with the radio since last year.
1.5 front, .75 rear like a lot of you. 35 duratracs. Honestly I'm done for the time being. After going on a few trails this will do 90% of what I ask of it, and its still basically stock on the street. As much as I drool over 3.5 lift and 37s I doubt I will go that way. Besides I just bought a...
The steering issue is covered under a TSB, so they should install it free of charge (if its still under warrantee) If its a new one (or used still under warrantee) on the lot with the old box then i would make that a condition of sale. There is a month or two wait for that part currently.
1) As far as i know all the new gladiators have been shipping with the new box, and it wasnt a Rubicon only issue it was across the model range. I had mine swapped out a few weeks ago and it was a massive improvement
2) The departure angle of the gladiator is the biggest issue for crawling. The...
There is a video somewhere of a guy running the rubicon in a stock rubi gladiator. He didnt do any of the super challenging trails though, and he did get some damage going through. I wouldnt recommend.
^This.
Im doing a somewhat mild build with my rubi, small lift, 35s, winch. Honestly if i plan on tackling some harder stuff im going to get a TJ that i dont care about. Honestly with what some people spend on these things (dana 60s, etc etc) they could just buy a trail jeep for bashing and...
I am a fan of LOD bumpers, this is the basically the same one i had on my JK. I did opt for the frame tie ins, because... well ive never regretted making something more beefy.
My personal preference is for "in bumper" winches. I just never liked the look of a big winch sitting on top of a...
Duratracks. We get a lot of snow up here in the nort country don't ya know? I've run them in the past and found they were a good mix between a mt and at. Not as good as my jeep on trail grappler but also they don't act like hockey pucks on packed snow.
Agree x100. Especially the part about staying stock for a while to see what is limiting you. Coil overs are trick but its a bit like buying a new corvette and deciding what it needs is a turbo and methanol injection.
Lod Mid Width bumper and winch installed. Got the leveling kit on as well (teraflex 1.5 front, .75 rear) going to get the 35s on it in about a week. Im mainly using this for driving the forest and logging roads and camping, so i really am trying to avoid going with 37s, may get a 2.5 inch lift...
