Okay cool. That's what I figured. Thanks for the quick response. I'm shopping for latches for my build. Close to yours except I am making a cutout for a fridge and slide rather than a second drawer.
I have a completely new, unopened, driver-side full-bin, with the MOLLE panels. I am looking for either a trade with someone who has a passenger side or I would be willing to sell it for a discount.
I am in Oklahoma city/Edmond and I would drive a ways to meet you for the trade. I bought a Roof...
I am going to put this in the for sale etc. area as well but since I know at least 2/3 of you have the RSI cap, I want to put it here too. I have a completely new, unopened, driver-side full-bin. If anyone has a passenger side and is interested in a trade. I am in Oklahoma and I would drive a...
Great tent, my family just outgrew it. I bought it in Jan. 2020, and we’ve slept maybe 15 nights in it. It has a 3” mattress, interior led lights, and the nicer telescoping ladder. It weighs about 125 lbs. This is the extended rain fly version. I'm asking $1500, but throw me an offer.
It comes...
I actually just met a guy that lives down the street from me that has a printer. I am going to continue to ply him with friendliness and free beer. I'll circle back once I have won his trust and time on that printer.
As for the drill bit conversation. I think step bits are hardened...
Yeah, you can tell that it is screwed into some kind of clip on the backside and not into the metal. I have some more steel, after I return from my trip at the end of this month, I think I will rethink the mounting point. Temporarily though, it works great.
I did this last night. All I have to say is, this is a fantastic idea. My only comments on the design, if I had had more time for fabrication and access to 3D printers, I would improve the space on the roll bar that the L bracket bolts to. Because the L bracket moves with tension and you can't...
That’s interesting. I don’t really use the rack like a basket. I have FR quick connects for a tent and then like you I’ve mounted some FR brackets but for an awning (RSI is a little too wide for them) my biggest issue is that it isn’t low profile. I might flip mine and see how it fits in the...
I carry about 1k lbs with passengers, RSI, gear, tent, food, and water (for showering in one tank and potable in another). I have stock suspension and stock 33's. I get about 300 (trails drop me down to like 2 mpg lol). So if you are only losing 20MPG with 37's, that's pretty dang good.
I actually saw an Australian company that has created electric locks. Remotely unlocking is ideal. I think the actuators are a little cumbersome and with my bin, I don't think they will work. But, honestly, I would have paid >$1000 more for my cap to have electric locks. Once you are $5k in...
@RSI North America Inc I have the RSI platform rack. The wind noise is bad with my RTT attached. Any advice for a wind deflector? Thinking of going DIY but I might be inclined to be lazy and just buy.
