I had put a set on my challenger and could tell the difference in seat of pants performance as well as a slight uptick in gas mileage. Wanted the same for the Gladiator but turned it in as a lemon before the switch.
For those that have filed for the lemon law in your state, did you call FCA first, get an attorney, or send a certified letter? I've reached the end of my patience.
What I found since the new flash is that I could trip the ESS everytime I drove it. Now that the weather has turned colder it rarely does it. Which to me is not a good thing because how do you prove it's happening
I got my truck back yesterday after a software update and relearn procedure that will "fix everything". 2 hours later the ESS errors out and just now the check engine is back on. I'm done, so it's time for them to step up and admit the problem and get it fixed. It's all a money thing at this...

And yes, according to my window sticker the engine was made in the US and the CEL came back on yesterday. Seems the dealer can never duplicate it, but I have no problem making it happen.
So assuming it is a manufacturing defect in the engine. What bothers me is how it took this long to find the problem. What kind of quality control is in place to find such things. I can see maybe 1 shift worth of parts but months is a stretch. I did a comparison in oil pressure between my...
From what I understand the 3.6 is made in three plants. Two in MI and one in Mexico. My window sticker indicates my engine is from Mexico.
{Edited to show correct manufacture location}
So does anybody know where the engines were manufactured? Did they all come from the same plant? I'm sure FCA knew a long time ago about the actual cause and were trying to find the least expensive fix possible that would get them thru the warranty period so they would have to recall.
So the dealer called and said Engineering wants me to drop off my truck so they can perform remote tests with the technician. After the software update I think my occurrence of the ESS light has happened way more often. CEL has been on and stayed on. One time while moving the Jeep in my...
So after getting the software update and getting the ESS and CEL the next day I went back to the dealership and they reset everything and told me to drive it for 30 miles or so for the system to re-learn. After doing this I have not gotten the CEL light but have had the ESS on multiple times...
Picked up the Gladiator with the roof leak and P0300 code issue supposedly fixed with the software update. They told me if the roof leaked again I would have to schedule a time for someone from Toledo to come and look at it. I told them that's good they can fix the CEL light also if it comes...
So I have a couple of questions. Do people get the ESS or CEL when they are driving or just when they first start up and move? Mine will only set the ESS if I don't wait for the RPM to go down or the AC is on when I start it and then start moving. It's currently back in the shop a second time...
So I did a little test this week. I cleared the codes and made sure the AC was not running and didn't put it into gear until the idle came down to normal. The code has not returned all week. Next I will try having the AC on but let the idle come before driving down to see what happens. If...
Got mine back from the dealer after two days. They swapped two coils and said it went away. I told them if it comes back on I will wait until you actually know what's wrong with it or there is a fix. Next morning code came right back. I too believe it has to do with load on the engine. Mine...
Dropped mine off at the dealer yesterday for the P0300 and low and behold they are tearing the top of my engine apart. They said they got misfires on 2 and 4. Also, couldn't reproduce the crappy steering. I told him they obviously didn't drive it then because its like you spent the afternoon at...
