I have a set of brand new in the box Nitro gears for the Gladiator axels (210&220) also fits JL Rubicon.
4.88 Ring and pinion and install kits for each axel. I went with a different ratio.
These Nitro gears are new in box and have been hard to get. Price at Nitro is over $1150 for the kit...
Well, After months of waiting i was able to get some steeper Ring and pinion gears and the Eaton locker. Now have an appointment to get it installed a month from now. So, only will hVe been 5 months. I’ll eventually get updates and maybe a pic or 2
I just got word that my Eaton e locker finally shipped for my rear axel. Now im waiting on ring and pinion gears . This has been slow going. After that its finding a shop to install.
Anybody have any news on more locker options now for the Sport? Was looking for eaton e lockers for the dana 44 32 spline for our Gladiators but dont see any yet. These gladiators have been on the road for over 24 months now. Wanted to upgrade my sport with lockers and 4.56 gears.
The JKS brand requires you to cut a tab off the axel. So, i can re weld thT tab back on but i would say based on my experience, go with another brand. They simply pulled apart and paint came off them after only 1 year. Light use
For the time being i just welded my jks threaded part to the sleeve, should hold fine for now. They did not hold up well, paint mostly off of them after one northern winter as well
Anybody have any ideas on what aftermarket quick disconnects are good to go with? I was running the JKS ones for that last year, literally disconnected them 2 times, kept up greasing them and then just had one of them strip and pull in half, now useless. I was on a light trail, no rock crawling...
Looking to get lockers and steeper gears on my sport S, what shops have you guys had good luck with? National chains etc. im presently in the Cleveland Ohio area. Any help is appreciated. Yes i know what im in for.
