    Yeah. Open diff puts the power to the wheel losing traction, often leaving one wheel travelling the same speed as the vehicle, retaining some traction and keeping it in a straight line on the road. Closing the diff makes both wheels spin 100% of the time, leading to sideways situations.

    You're talking about the light rear end getting squirrelly on an unladen pickup i assume. In that case, no. The rear axle is far enough forward that it has considerable cab weight on it, in addition to a lot of bed overhang weight. In that respect, it doesn't have the light rear end problems...

    Yup, but projected timeline on a fix is post april 22nd.... Then get on wait to have repairs done.. Maybe it'll burn down before then, maybe it won't...

    To be fair, i do drive it like i stole it.. Moved all valuables from cab to milk crate under the tonneau next to tailgate. Practicing rapid exit/fire drills with the kids... Fire+GAP=clean slate. Zero negative equity=upgrade to rubicon with upgraded clutch..

    Get it, buy the gap, drive it like you stole it, and from the sounds of things, you'll likely end up with a fresh clutch in a recall.

    Buy gap in case it self destructs in the meantime. We'll all probably end up with a new clutch compliments of fca sooner or later. I'm not losing any sleep over it.

    Saw this on the jl forums. Wonder if anyones showed it to the guy who's jl burned up in december '19 yet. The whole clutch basket, flywheel, everything, came out of that one.
