  1. Negotiating on a factory build.

blau iii, It sounds like you are pretty solid on making your order, but thought I would pass this along just in case. I'm not too far from you in the State College, PA area. We worked with Craig Benner from Koons in Tysons Corner, VA leveraging their Group Buy program on a factory order 2021...
  2. Manuals might be dead

I haven't heard anything regarding Gladiators, but a couple people on the Wrangler forum have posted that they can order manuals again: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/unable-to-order-a-manual-transmission.46900/page-8
  3. Manuals might be dead

Car & Driver Article on the Recall: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a31406165/jeep-gladiator-wrangler-recall-clutch/
  4. Manuals might be dead

Someone posted an FCA safety recall advanced communication document dated 3/4/2020 regarding JL and JT vehicles with manual transmissions in the wrangler forum: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/unable-to-order-a-manual-transmission.46900/page-6#post-1044869 Doesn't line up with...
  5. Manuals might be dead

A dealer posted on the wrangler forum that they were notified that the halt on manual orders is due to a shortage and that people "should" be able to order again in April. Hopefully that's accurate....time will tell. If that is true, it's cool that demand for manuals is exceeding supply...
  6. Manuals might be dead

Sad about this and also hope It's a temporary thing. We were ready to put in an order for a manual JT Rubicon and the dealer we were working with confirmed they were not taking orders for manuals. As other people mentioned it sounds the same for people ordering manual wranglers...
  7. Heated seats with a manual?

Off topic, but I noticed the matchbox truck in your profile photo and that it was referenced as a 1970-something Gladiator. My very first vehicle was a 1985 Jeep J10 Pickup. Wikipedia says: Jeep Gladiator (SJ), a pickup truck made by Jeep from 1962-1988, known as the Jeep J-Series after 1971...
  8. Heated seats with a manual?

I've heard good things about the automatic in the Gladiator, but I'm set on a manual. I like the satisfaction and experience of driving a manual transmission. Glad you were able to get what you wanted and are enjoying it!
  9. Heated seats with a manual?

Thanks for the information. Reached out to the dealer we've been working with and got confirmation that Jeep closed manual transmission orders for the Gladiator (for the time being). They have no information as to why or how long. I guess now it's a waiting game.
  10. Heated seats with a manual?

Any more information on not being able to order a manual? I pray it's temporary. We are very close to ordering one! Would have a hard time settling for an Auto. Not getting what I want and paying an extra $2k for it.
  11. Tonneau Cover Recommendations

Thanks! I like that even though it's a tri-fold, you can still access the whole bed. The one I have on my RAM you lose 1/3 of the access in either the front or middle of the bed, depending on how you fold it. Sweet Rubicon, too!
  12. Tonneau Cover Recommendations

Thanks for all the feedback all! I've been hesitant about soft tonneau covers due to concerns about pooling, snow and flapping at highway speeds. Has that been an issue for anyone who has experience?
  13. Tonneau Cover Recommendations

We are on the verge of ordering a new Gladiator and would like to see if anyone had recommendations. We are leaning toward the hard tri-fold factory cover and would like to hear what others have experienced so far. We are mainly interested in minimal water leakage as we will almost always have...
