Sport S on 37/12.5r17 Milestar Patagonia MTs. I went with mopar 4.88 installed by my dealership so I wouldn’t “void warranty”. It’s been great getting 5th/6th gear back but I still struggle up long hills. I do wish I went with 5.13 some days but also figured I’d never exceed 37s and would most...
I got mine installed by the dealership only because I got a great deal on it ($1400 w/ installation) because it didn’t “void warranty”. Will this be the case everywhere? Probably not. Are there better options out there? Absolutely. Am I happy with it over stock Sport S suspension? Most...
Just finished breaking in (500mi/fluid change) Mopar 4.88s in mine. It was definitely worth the swap so far to get a few MPG back and plenty of pep. Haven't taken it offroad yet but I primarily drive on the beach when not on pavement so we'll see how that goes next summer.
Hope this isn't too dumb a question...I did a quick search and didn't see anything.
Just re-geared my 2020 JT Sport S 6MT on 37 Milestar Patagonias from 3.73 to Mopar 4.88. Bought a Tazer Mini Lite to change settings and when scrolling through the menu I saw the option to change 4L settings...
I’ve got 20k on mine so far. 99% highway/1% sand use. I rotate with every oil change and they still ride great/quiet. Just got them at the start of summer so don’t know how winter performance is but I’m going to buy them again if they’re the same price without a doubt.
what RPM are you shifting at? I have the same issue if I shift under ~3k but seems to be gone shifting at higher RPMs as others have suggested. Still a bit troubling as it doesn't sound like it should happen ever...
I have a Sport S Manual and put in Rubicon springs/shocks with a Teraflex 1.75" front spacer and 3/4" Daystar rear spacer. Clears 37/12.5R17 Milestar Patagonia MTs (and full size on spare) with no rubbing. Love this setup but desperately needs to be regeared.
To be fair, I have seen people say the Milestar Pats last more than 40k so I'm definitely interested in your review. Might just be back luck for those of us that aren't getting the same life out of them (or overly aggressive driving habits). For the price and weight, I really shouldn't complain.
I'm a little late to this thread but having owned both (my Coopers were 285/75r17, currently running Milestar Pat MTs 37/12.5r17) I would say that both are super comfy, quiet and perform great as everyone else has said. However, the Pats wear way faster (I doubt I'll get 30k mi out of them) and...
Ok, I've put a few miles on these 37s and agree with everyone about 4.88 if not 5.13.
CAN you drive it with stock 3.73 gears? Yes, and mileage didn't suck too terribly. Hills and backing up over a curb reeeaaally suck but is manageable. So ask yourself this, what are you using your truck...
Oh man, that’s an understatement. When the sand is super soft I’m pretty much riding the clutch the whole time..which yeah, wasn’t great before I got the recall replacement.
That’s what the local off-road shop was recommending. I’m not interested in rock crawling but I take my Jeep out on the beach almost every weekend so 5.13 may be the way to go.
I'll post some pics when I go out to the beach (because we all know you gain extra hp for posting pretty pics lol).
So far, it is definitely driveable but keep in mind Milestar Pats aren't the heaviest 37s out there. My 285/75r17 Cooper Discoverer AT3 list weight at 58lbs each and the...
I just picked up a set of 37/12.5r17 Milestar Patagonia MTs tonight that I'll put on tomorrow and update. Sport S, manual, non-max tow, 3.73, Rubicon takeoff shocks/coils+1.5" Teraflex front spacer and .75" rear spacer currently on 285/75r17. All my off-road driving is on soft, sandy beaches...
I got a CMM universal accessory mount on the driver side and attached an IWB holster to it after removing the belt clip. should be a factory option IMO
