I just used a camera with an external rear camera. Mounted it above the license plate and has clearance when the tailgate is open. My camera is hardwired so it’s watching even when parked.
Are you sure you mounted the bungee attachment posts in the right positions? I installed mine at the same time as my soft top so I had everything apart and had the posts shifted forward. Realized it as I was installing the shade when it didn’t look like it lined up properly.
I took my doors off yesterday for the first time. In my JKU, I hated the full doors remaining on in the rear. So I always ran front doors off and half doors in rear. Removed all doors yesterday since real half doors are not available. However, I love your set-up here! I’m totally going to run...

The wireless controller should be no problem. Like you, I’m more inclined to put the box under the hood. I have already found room for it. Will just need to Make a simple bracket, extend the leads and get a wireless controller.
I had one on my JK. I just tried to install it on my JT with Rubicon steel bumper. The offset solenoid box is in the way and hits the side of the bumper when you put on. I’m trying to figure out where I want to mount the box. I’ve ordered a bracket for a Warn that may let me mount it above the...
Yeah, grab a friend for the install. I was contorted something fierce starting the center bolt. Had a bruised knee using it to keep the tube all the way up. Didn’t help that it was humid AF. But I had just brought the JT home that day and needed them as a step so my gf could get in.
The link to the camera is below. I made sure to buy one with an interior/exterior mount waterproof rear camera. I mounted the rear camera bracket behind the license plate so that it would still clear the tailgate opening and closing. Then ran the cable down the passenger side A pillar, drilled...
The dealer had the speaker in the driver seat back pocket. Checked my window sticker to make sure I wasn’t charged for it and didn’t say anything! No cradle, but it charges by the same cord as every other Bluetooth speaker I have.
Yeah, I got a mini-USB kit with fuse taps. However, I didn’t want to bother going through the firewall for that, so I connected it to the hot wire in the aux switch bundle. Hooked up my CB to the acc wire at the same time.
That sucks. I was hit by a drunk driver in my JK in February who fled the scene. Luckily they tracked him down after he abandoned his WORK TRUCK and left on foot. Picked up a dash cam before my JT order arrived and hardwired it with a camera front and rear.
