Sounds cool for those who want to replace the head unit. I myself want to keep the oem. Chrysler has one of the best UIs around. This thread is geared more towards those who want to integrate the oem system with an oem head unit.
Inane audio is pretty cool tho!
@bryanklay has taken this thread to an entirely new level. Thank you for your hard work and I look forward to see the end result And subsequent write up!
So what you ordered was the harness and camera? As far as you know is it plug and play or does something need to be activated on the radio? Do you have the harness part number?
Is there one you recommend or have a link to? I hear curry thrown around. I remember doing it to my TJ about a decade ago but most of my memories from that time of my life have been purged
Not very grippy. Feels like a hard plastic instead of rubbery. I suppose I can throw in a rubber garage mat if I need to haul slippery stuff. I mainly wanted to throw bikes and camping gear in. I think they rely on the texture to keep things from sloshing around.
You are right, the rain let off and I took a closer look, the strap bolts were a bit too tight, so the strap ends weren't hinging properly, if that makes sense. I loosened them enough to make things back to normal.
I was reading through the threads the other night and came across a thread regarding this stabilizer. I had written off my JTR steering wobble as just another "Jeep thing". Boy was I wrong. Before this mod, the car would randomly sway on its own. Dart side to side, and I would have to make...
Debated bed options for a bit. Finally dew codes to have my dealer do a bullet liner. Dropped off at 9, picked up at 3. All in all I’m satisfied. The appearance is a bit shiny for me but I’m sure after some use it’ll look better. I did notice the trunk lid needs more effort to close now but I’m...
Man I used to do these same ghetto discos on my YJ about 15 years ago. The issue is they eventually go sloppy and begin to clunk. Best thing you can do is get some actual discos. The other issue I’d have is corrosion and the pins and the posts would bind. I used to carry needle nose and a mallet...
Just placed one on order. I’m excited. My brand new Rubicon sways like a mofo. I thought it was me being tired but now that I found this thread I’m relieved. Thanks guys for all the input
I’m working on getting it ordered. We have another thread I updated:
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/factory-trail-cam-install.29321
Ok some more research today...
the video processor seems to be for the ADAS system or forward collision system. I deduced this by looking at the descriptions. The trail cam is called off-road camera. The adas stuff is called forward camera. So we may not need the processor after all. I wasn’t...
So did a little more research. On the washer diagram, you can see the main nozzles are item 3 and the main washer hose is item 1. I’ve deduced that items 4,6,7 are the trail cam washer hose and nozzle. There seems to also be a pump below the reservoir for the trail cam. When I get my Jeep back...
Hey Keller, I know this was a few months ago but did you happen to see how the fluid was routed? Is there a separate motor or is it tapped off the main fluid?
I added everything to my cart about to pull the trigger. Before I do so I will have a call with my dealer tomorrow to be sure I can install the trail cam. They had told me $600 in parts, $300 for a programmer and $100 for labor. My JT is a rubicon with LED package. I’ll check to see about a...
Any updates to this? I called my dealer and they said it’s $1000. 600 in parts. 300 for a “programmer” and $100 for labor. The go pro route is garbage. I’ve fried so many of those damn cameras.
