Lets for a minute classify the Gladiator as a Mid-sized truck and not as a Jeep and compare the numbers for last year:
#1 Toyota Tacoma: 237,323
#2 Jeep Gladiator: 89,437
#3 Chevy Colorado 65,009
#4 Ford Ranger 57,005
#5 GMC Canyon 52,011
(can't find numbers on Nissan)
Taco Truck is clearly...
After 22k miles, and no changes to the vehicle I began to experience "Death Wobble"- I went to the dealer- rotated, aligned, checked everything- no change. Bought a FOX steering stabilizer as the reviews on the product all said it fixed the issue. When I took off the factory steering damper it...
Hood and tailgate, hinges are fine. I took it to the dealer a month ago, they took pictures and said they would get back to me. Called and left two messages, still waiting to hear back. Truck is a 2020 with 23k miles. @JeepCares
I do have side steps, not as much sliding. I am tall enough that I could enter and exit the vehicle without using the steps or sliding in and out. My main critique is more about the fact this is happening with low miles- I would expect this over 60-75k miles, but not at sub 15k. I've been...
sorry for the delay- i tried to get photos that show the issue clearly- the bolster is completely flat inside, which you can see in the photos. its squished completely out to the side and will not resume it's shape.
Interesting- I may open a claim myself- I'm glad i'm not the only one with this issue. i think the only difference between cloth and leather is the cover. Do you also have the seat heaters? I have 14k miles.
Ok, I'm a big guy- 6'5" and 280 but I think this is a bit ridiculous. I have stock leather interior (with heaters) and I have been noticing that the bolster on the door side is pretty much squished flat- so that the leather is creasing and the foam is not supporting the booster at all. I had a...
Sting grey owner here- pretty easy to wash. When its not muddy it's more "Sting Grey"- went from a black JK -which was never clean, and this one looks semi-clean even when its dirty. Best color decision ever.
I get the one honk- no start, I use mine for the opposite here in Houston. Its Hot- i want it to cool down. Last month the dealer replaced my batteries (both) and i thought that would fix it- it didn't. I used my Jscan to reset the ECU and no change- full tank, doors on, roof closed, hood...
12k miles on my 2020 Overland- just started doing this last week, scary as hell when you go to pull out in front of something and there is about 1-2 seconds of what feels like "turbo lag"- it comes and goes, very weird. I had my truck at the dealer last week to fix my start stop and it never...
I came across this today on the inter webs- It may explain a bit why the man bun exists on the Gladiator and Not "the pile of vinyl in the cargo bed with the top down". Chrysler had already been there and done that, and had the receipts (or lack of them)...... Either way, interesting read about...
I love your response- closest thing to my situation- I was able to get a fully loaded Overland with a sticker of 52 for 37k in April 20. That's sport pricing. Leather, seat heaters, upgraded stereo, matched trim, all kinds of other goodies.
I love where this discussion has gone- people are very...
i think part of my take may be influenced by how often i winch when mudding in the Ranger (Polaris). I'm super comfortable winching, using blocks and using other rigs as anchors- to do get through stuff I would never take my Jeep. Its not uncommon to use the winch 4-5x (per rig) a day when out...
Ok controversial take, and one people are pretty passionate about. Lockers.
I bought an Overland- I have owned jeeps with lockers (YJ) and modern jeeps without. (JKU). Unless I'm looking to run off road all the time, or take on deep mud pits or bouldering, I just don't see the need. (BTW grew...
Here in Houston it rains- like every day for 20 mins or maybe an hour- but the rest of the time its sunny and warm- I miss when I lived in CA and could leave my doors and top off for 6 months straight. But the factory Soft top is awesome because I can open it while seated at a stoplight in about...
I used to have the Bestop TerektopNX on my JKU, was loud but I loved it. If it's too loud there are lots of stereo upgrade threads..... I mean its a moot point for me, I love my OEM Twill soft top- it's very quiet for a convertible. I use it on the freeway and while on the phone every day, I...
This actually looks kinda good- Better than I expected, If its easy to remove the front rail with the rolled up top. i could see a lot of these selling. It looks like the material is only 2 pieces, the top and the back being separate pieces. Very creative.
The soft top OEM is made by BesTop so they will not be making another knockoff. Mopar couldn't figure out how to do a soft top so they farmed it out, there is a reason why there is no other convertible trucks- and the former ones didn't have functional beds. Bestop is the biggest and Smitty...
