I have a 70lb Golden and 60lb Shepherd/Rot mix and it did just fine. The platform is stable and the support is being held by the front seats. Worst case, you can get some plywood to replace the boards in there. Its blown me away for only being 50 bucks. I was looking at others on amazon similar...

Yeah, there's zippers that allow you to open up the buckles. Also, it can fold up so that a seat can be exposed and then the platform can be on the other side and create a little barrier between the dog and the baby which could be a plus! Best part about amazon..if it doesnt work, you can send...

Didn't even think to try that. I'll try out after work and let you know. It all depends if the straps that wrap around the headrest will expand down that far.
