Most of the time there's no penalty, the dealer just wants you to wait 3+ months so they can get paid on the rate markup. If you want to keep a good relationship with the dealer wait the 3 months, if you don't care, than refi it right away.
There's definitely some value in having it now vs waiting 3-6 months. In my case, my Rubicon's MSRP was $58K and I paid $48K, that's 17% off MSRP and I didn't have to wait. Plus I got Gobi, which I don't think is even available for 23. And not to mention the price increases that have taken...
I got mine in yesterday too.
I did the driver side from the top without much issue. Passenger side I ended up undoing the 3 bolts and a few clips on the fender liner and pulling it back to access from underneath.
Basically end up working blind but it was actually much easier than expected...
All removed with 50 miles on the odometer.

I've been thinking about trading my JL for a JT and was offered a JTR $56K MSRP for around $46K plus tax ($50K OTD). Think I'll wait until next week to see if the deals get better but the deals right now are very tempting.
