I have a Sport S. The LSD and brake lok system has been more than sufficient. Lest this devolve to a pissing match, I'll only say I would be surprised if many people on this site wheeled on the rocks more than I have. I've done nearly every trail in SoCal, except for a few of the more extreme...
I agree with her: all the Jeeps I've owned drive like shopping carts. Mine's bad on gas, is slow as sin, and likes to wobble (not DW). But that said, it's a monster offroad, it's reliable, it tows my camper, has a great sound system for a factory setup, the kids like it, and it's great...
I don't have buyer's remorse. I got a decent value and bought at a good time. 43k for mine, back in 2020 dollars, so it seemed like a lot then. They're pretty good deals at the moment, BUT....
I just picked up a 2023 chevy bolt as a commuter car. It is faaaaantastic. The gladiator has been...
Watching this video cemented the concept for me:
Some might then ask, what about the gladiator that finished KOH a few years back:
Or this one:
Class limited to 35" tire, but the trucks are sky high. "Bonanza, wouldn't these race cars know more about this than you?"
And you're right...
Tires before lift. Lift should (IN MY OPINION) be utilized only to accommodate the tire.
Also remember that the AEV lift, as well as others, are meant to raise a sport suspension 2"-- unless its the spacers which will lift them all equally. And then, if you increase the lift by that much...
I suspect I'm gonna be trading mine in at some point. The gladiator has been fun, but I can't stand this weak engine. 14 mpg isn't helping the cause. This platform, without hyperbole, needs 400 hp/400 tq to keep me. This isn't 2012 anymore, the power benchmark has been set. If the ZR2's...
After my disappointing test drive of a ZR2, my next sure test drive was going to be the 2024 Ranger Raptor. 400+ HP caught my eye. But I just saw one in person at King of the Hammers, and whoa baby was it underwhelming in person. In fact I almost missed it; it looked like some run of the mill...
Same here. Been on the Vortex since the old days. It's funny to see how all of us that were once kids with MKIVs now have a lot more money and the threads are about really nice cars.
Mine tows OK. It goes and stops when I want it to go and stop. I'm lifted, 37s, and 4.88s. I've towed to Arizona from socal, up and down mountains. No indication that anything was getting warm, but I got 11 mpg.
Edit- originally a Max Tow S. But gears obv. changed, springs changed, and...
All windows down (AND UP) physical button
Max heat/Max AC physical button
Power sliding rear window physical button
The pentastar is older than Jesus at this point. 260 hp is laughable.
Tailgate storage
underbody cameras
4.88 gears standard with 35s
HD balljoints standard
More bed tie downs...
Master Edit-- I have been talked out of it. :CWL:

What I like:
I can get this straight from the factory with rock rails, nice suspension, driving a vehicle it feels like I haven't been driving since 2013...
I posted in this thread in 2021. I've long abandoned the idea of adding lockers. The LSD combined with the brake-locking "locker", for me, has been exemplary. It's certainly not the same as a locker, but I've yet to encounter an obstacle that a locker would have been the difference between...
The seat back things with 20 pockets for all their toys/books/etc. Not the tacticool molle nonense, get one that embraces what we are-- pack mules for kid toys.
