This is my current leaning. Just ordered a deep throat (ha!) clamp and a finishing hammer. Going to try and pull the dent out and finish it. We'll see how it goes.
The estimate I got was $1500 to repair this, and the taillight can be saved. The gladiator isn't my DD anymore and it now just does trail duty and towing duty. But I don't want to leave this. I'm not sure if anyone has dealt with this before...
Fix for $1500? Leave it? Pull the dent and...
Heh. Ironic. I just did a search for what to do here as I now have the exact same problem as the OP since I went back to stock sized wheels. On my driver's side I mounted the reservoir to the frame where the disconnect bracket is. On the passenger side I lowered the reservoir as low as it'll...
Want to trade? 2020 Max Tow, hardtop, God's chosen color (orange) 34k miles. Regeared to 3.88. I've been looking for a ZR2.
Small lift, Vertex Reservoir Shocks, bumpers, lights, winch, etc. etc. My loss, your gain and so on.
The pentastar is laughably underpowered in 2025. Let's get a little dose of reality here. That Chevy powerplant is much, MUCH better than the current offerings. Oddly GM's choice of gearing makes it seems slow, as I test drove one with every intention of getting one. The only reason I didn't...
Jeep could make an amazing IFS platform that can do well offroad. But at this point Stellantis and Jeep just aren't pushing the envelope and aren't innovating. Ford, on the other hand, is cementing their place with win after win after win, and to me that's a lot more impressive that relying on...
4 pages and no one actually pointed at the culprit. The anemic V6. Having low power is an actual safety issue as demonstrated here and needs to be corrected.
I test drove a ZR2 thinking the powertrain was going to be pretty great. I was shocked at how underwhelming it really was. Some reviews peg it at 6.5 sec 0-60, whereas a gladiator with smaller tires crossed the line at 7.2.
The gladiator is an absolute dog to be sure, but 6.5 is not what...
For someone who doesn't even have sliders on your Jeep, that's a bold thing to say.
But as you said here, :
"I figured hers takes care of the rocks and hard-core trails so why not get the high speed model (I have had hers up to 90mph in the dirt and it's out of its element)? We take...
These threads, and the responses, crack me up. If OP ever wanted to return, theres an infinite amount of these unspecial vehicles on the market at bottom-barrel prices because they depreciated like used lolllipops.
What's he going to miss out on? 16 mpg? 260 wheezing horses? Towing while...
