I’ve had the same problem. Cool air from the dash vents and from the floor (I keep the control knob set to run a little cold air on my feet), but then there is suddenly a heat wave across the front seats (vents still blowing cold). The only thing I’ve noticed is that the plastic below the...
From the video it looked like you came to a complete stop and then shifted the Tranfer case to low. You need to shift your transmission into neutral while you are rolling, and then shift the transfer case to neutral while still rolling, and then shift the transfer case to 4-Low while rolling...
I hate to see that for anyone.
If FCA does not cover it, I would take the insurance money and be looking at the flat bed options. More storage room for camping and better departure angles.
So mine would feel good going into 4L. But then it would slip out. Some times it would slip all the way to neutral, but on occasion it would just pop out a little way and the 4L light would disappear. The Jeep would keep crawling, but as soon as I hit a ledge i found that it was not in 4WD. More...
get in a bind like I did. I guide hunts and was in the bottom of a canyon with customers when I discovered there was a real issue. Took several hours and a lot of winch time to get back out.
Ok. I am calling this fixed. Drove for several hours and put it to the test through some pretty rough terrain in both 4H and 4L. No problems engaging and no longer slipping back into neutral.
If it helps, mine would slip out on level ground and was very repeatable. I hope that yours just wasn’t completely engaged that time, but please keep us updated.
Thanks
Just picked it up today. Drove about half a mile in 4L. No issues so far. Description of work done is posted below and all covered under Jeep warranty.
I was hoping that’s all it was, but the more I drove it, the worse it got. It got so bad last time that I had to hold it in 4L to get back out of a canyon I was in. After that, I was done. Never had an issue with either mine or my wife’s JK and I used 4L on them within the first 5000 miles...
I don’t remember his name, but he was in charge of online sales and the msrp was a little over $3900. Like I said, make sure they 100% agree on the price before you show up. (Preferably an e-mail chain so you will have proof.) Before you buy one though, check out my other thread about the...
I searched for almost a year online before purchasing my Gladiator. I found that the more Jeeps that are on the lot, the better deal you are likely to get. (Factory incentives) If you do find one for a good deal online, buy it before you go to pick it up. I had several dealerships that made...
I know. I do 99% of my own work unless it’s under warranty or a transmission problem. I don’t do transmissions, so I would love to hear from anyone who truly understands this new 8 speed and can tell me if this is possible. I am afraid the error code is showing up for the trans because the...
So the valve body did not get rid of the error code. They are now replacing the transmission. I was told that there is a chain drive in the front part of the Automatic 850RE transmission and it was rubbing the case. This caused buildup in a solenoid that was causing the transfer case to not stay...
Got a call back from the dealership. They are replacing the transmission valve body. (There was an internal code) We will see if this resolves the issue. I will continue to update as I get more info.
This is my first time to join a forum, so please bear with me.
My 2020 Gladiator Max Tow Sport with 5000 miles will not stay engaged in 4L or 4H. The Jeep has a 3.5” lift, but I did not alter the t-case position. I will keep this limited to 4L issue for now.
When I shift to 4L, I hear the...
