Saw a video and it was awesome, that center part is fully retractable so you can still use entire bed.
If it’s the misfire issue, there’s no fix yet and I would recommend trying to steer them away from tearing up your engine if at all possible. Not to mention it’s hell having them do that...having light come back...they try again...light come back etc.

Probably a good thread to check out. It’s long, but a lot of good info so you’re more prepared when you are talking to service department and if they tell you it’s a misfire.
That’s what I remember hearing too. I think you can kind of see it in this picture.
Also...it doesn’t look like it’s separate from bumper...so wouldn’t that mean With most bumpers you’d just be able to keep it on there?

Your knowledge of this is awesome. I'm not exactly sure what constitutes a "hard misfire", but on my family's Gladiator with this issue...it did progress to shaking relatively violently and flashing CEL.
As some other have mentioned...it's a software issue, at least according to the Jeep service manager I talked to today.
He said FCA knows what is causing it and what needs to be done...but said something about needing to get whatever software changes approved by the government or EPA. I asked...
