I had already looked closely at that solution. But when I read the fine print, I see ' / Rubicon require additional skid plates to protect the step sliders. Part number AX-SS-SP-JT4 ' That additional part is another $600 plus all the additional installation.
Yes, I'm aware of the compromise, and I am reluctant to give up the rock rails. As I said, it's a compromise. We do live and play in the mountains.
The Gladiator will be my wife's primary vehicle. As such, she isn't going to do any serious rock crawling, at least until it has a few 'Nevada Pin...
LOL Different strokes, I guess. I have to agree that the factory rock rails look cleaner. But at least these contour to the body. I have to do something because my wife is 5'2". We need a step of some description, and these may be the least offensive yet practical solution I've found.

I found these Rough Country doing an internet search. The look good, and the reviews are mostly positive. Does anyone have any experience with these?

We've had a Rubicon Wrangle U since 2017, and just picked up a Gladiator (photos of each attached). We kept the Wrangler. Wrangler was my wifes, not she has the Gladiator and I'll keep the Wrangler as a project.
Some initial comparisons and contrasts which jump out at me:
Gladiator doors close...
I agree with your experience with the JT vs the JK. That's essentially what we've discovered.
And yes, we do have the subwoofer behind the rear seat. No doubt we have the Premium system, whatever that means now with the Gladiators.
But I'm not sure I agree with you that I'd have gone with...
I watched the install video of those and the installer mentions that there are 'three' bolts to remove and then reattach. But my Gladiator has four bolts attaching the Rubicon rock rails. Is there a fundamental difference between the Rubicon and other Gladiator models in the way the rails attach?
I like the earlier post about finding it online. Good resource. But we actually found the original folded up with some other papers with the Owner's Manual. Definitely an Alpine system.
Oh, yes. Adjusted fade and balance, equalizer settings, etc.
Like I've said, it isn't a 'bad' sound system. But it definitely is not as nice as the Wrangle Alpine.
I didn't mean to imply that the 8.4 system in the Gladiator is 'bad', it's not. In fact it's noticeably better than the sound system in my Chevy Silverado (basic). But it clearly isn't as 'top shelf' as the Alpine system which came in the 2017 Wrangler.
It's subjective but just generally lacking the richness and fullness of sound in the Wrangler. We parked the two vehicles side by side and listened to music from the same Bluetooth source, same song and the difference really is apparent.
I also note that the front speakers in the Wrangler have...
