Thanks. So, I assume the z automotive extension cable plugs into the cables you take out of the gateway and then the red cable plugs into the z automotive extension and then the Obd2 plugs into the red cable?
My mistake. I knew that but I had a late night brain fReese. But at the risk of being dense, what order to you plug into the security gateway and what do you do with the original wires you pull out of the gateway etc?
So the way this works is you unplug the factory security cables from the OBD port, plug in the extension cable to the OBD port, the security by pass cable (for example red,) into the other end of the extension cable, and then the new ObD 2 device into the red bypass cable? When you are done...
Does the extension cable work with the red security bypass cable? I will probably only make a few basic changes once or twice and so will not need to use this very often. However if the extension cable would make this a lot easier I would probably most go ahead and get it as well.
I added the Rusty’s LCA skids. Had to drill out one of the holes on each skid. The absolute hardest part was getting the LCA to line back up on one side. Had to rock the tire back and forth while a friend jammed the bolt through. i taped the nuts Over the holes where the smaller bots went -...
Pulled the trigger on the RB front mud flaps. Got both the thumb screws and the counter sunk screws. Just was not sure what I what I would like. As it turns out I think the thumb screws will work well, especially if I need to take the mud flaps off and put them back on Several times when Off...
Also, I suppose the cutout you left in is not visible once you put them on? Sounds like a good idea if you ever sale them and That person needs the cut out.
I guess the thumb screws work ok — they hold adequately and you can easily remove them? When you take the mud flaps off, do you put the thumb screws back into the fender liner so that the liner is secure?
How do the RB mud flaps fit with the RSE power steps. I assume you did not get the cut out on the RB flaps. Did you get the thumb screws or the counter sunk screws?
Did you ever get the Rockblockz mud flaps and RSE step/sliders. I have the RSE step/sliders and am strongly leaning towards the RB XL original flaps. Did you get the thumb screws or the countersunk screws for the RB flaps?
I am thinking about getting the rockblockz mud flaps for my JTR. Do the thumb screws work ok? Rockblockz also provides more permanent screws which I guess means a tool must be used.
My local shop test fitted my BFG KO2 37” spare tire which is on factory steel wheel and it fit on front with no spacer and no rubbing at full turn in both directions. I assume it will also fit on the rear.
I have the 2.5 Clayton with BFG KO 2s and my shop strongly recommended 5.13 gears. I think at 70mph 5.13s run at about 150 more rpms vs. 4.88. I did a lot of research on this and shops seemed to be about 50/50 so I went with what my shop recommended. I know one person who did 4.88s and wishes...
In case anyone is interested, I had a tire shop test my BFG KO2 37” spare tire, which is on my JTR steel factory spare tire wheel, on the front end and it fit at full turn both right and left without rubbing (and without a spacer). I assume, then, that it will also fit on the rear. (I did not...
What size spacer? An with the spacer I will be able to run my 37” BFG as a spare on the front or back? My other four BFGs are on fuel off road 17x9 after market wheels and I have a 2.5 Clayton off road lift.
I have a new 37 x 12:50 BFG ko2 on the stock steel spare tire wheel and it fits very well fully aired up. It is touching the passenger side frame rail and the inside top of my hitch receiver but does not touch the heat shield on the drivers side. It also does not touch the track bar which (if...
And my wife, who is great, is virtually no help in a situation like this. By the way, I am impressed with the number of jeeps you have! I have been toying with the idea of buying a JL.
