Great post. This is exactly what I was waiting for someone to say. For those of us that are a bit technically unaware the big sticking point is: Who is going to install it without screwing things up and if something does go wrong will the company offer support.
Do you have this supercharger kit in stock and ready to ship for the Gladiator? If not in stock, what is your ETA on it? Also, do you have any reputable installers in the Tampa FL area that you work with? Thank you. Trying to decide which supercharger I want.
she drives less than 30 miles round trip for her commute. Jeep is claiming 49 mpg overall hwy....
She doesn't care about saving the whales or anything like that, but finds it appealing that a jeep can get decent gas mileage. Would be cool to have two jeeps in the driveway! :)
She's been looking at either the Sahara or Rubicon models...
Looks like it'll be about 65k for the rubicon and 50k+ for the Sahara.
Anyone have one? Opinions?
If that's the case, why not buy a used Ram promaster and put some fake repair company magnets on the side? Tons of "stealth camping" videos and tips on youtube
UPDATE: had a friend come over and tune it. Said the problem wasn't with the system, it was with the way whoever installed it tuned it on the uconnect system. Sounds decent now, better than stock. I'm happy with it, it is loud enough for what I need (old gen-x'er here). I give the system a 7/10...
Good luck actually getting your order! Quadratec loves to take people's money without telling them upfront items are not only out of stock, they are no where in sight- as in, even they have no clue the item they just billed you for will be ready for shipment. I have ordered a bunch of stuff from...
2.5 in lift, 35's on 20's. Everything else can wait. A good lift/rim tire package makes this truck. If you leave the wimpy soccer mom wheels on it you'll look like a skinny guy wearing a tank top.
This is the system I bought- $1299 off Amazon...
I had a friend install it in an afternoon.
I really wanted to like this thing.
Pros:
Better than factory.
rock/metal sound better
Can hear music better with top and doors off
Cons:
Insufficient bass if you like anything other than rock
Front...
Yeah, I don't believe that. I have ordered a ton of stuff from them this year and nearly all of it was back ordered. Looking through this thread that seems to be the experience of everyone else except this lone poster. Maybe you live next door to them?
If you don't mind waiting till the year 2035 to get your stuff from Quadratec. I finally gave up and had to cancel my order. I even unsubscribed from their list, will never deal with them again! awful.
