When you remove the right plunger you do not disconnect anything.......just lay the plunger attached to the wiring harness under the plate so that it thinks the hood is open then close the hood and try it again the key is to keep the right assy the way it is but laying below the plate on top of...

That's what's so cool about this mod.....it's easy to even try it out.....switch close to fender you can see all the dust on the plate to show it's been awhile like this and still going strong.

Hey Beemer, mid 2020 BUT it's easy to remove it from the plate and let it sit you do not remove/disconnect any wires! Just remove from the plate so you can remove it and see how it effects you and IF you can't start it via remote just reinstall it.....easy....and if you mainly use remote start...

Just an FYI, I've never used the remote start function so tried it out this morning and it does still work so you can remote away and start it from afar. AND everything else for the past three years is and has worked as designed with the only thing being the start/stop function.

I recommend seeing Tom at https://www.getdodge.com. Tom is the service manager there and has been for years. Have taken all my Mopars to him. Gladiator, 300, Viper(s), RAM and the Prowler and never a problem. Highly recommend.

Looks as tho you didn't velcro the inside and I just went to Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and the wind was crazy coming back but didn't bother the Softopper at all. My 2nd one, used to have one for years on my 07 Titan and never a problem. Hope this helps you out.
