  1. 2024/2025 Towing and payload speculation

We know the Wrangler got a bump in towing capacity. I am doubtful the Gladiator will get an increase in towing capacity, but since it’s likely getting the full float Gen 3 D44s, perhaps a slight increase in GVWR and therefor payload? I checked a 2024 3.6 Rubicon Wrangler door tag and GVWR was...
  2. Towing Scenario

In the market for another trailer. My 3200Lb Hike was just a bit too small. Eyeing a 5000lb trailer. My jeep curb weight with two of us in it and gear is about 5500lbs. Jeep gladiator Rubicon is rated at 7000 towing at max. Estimating fully loaded the trailer to be around 5700lbs, 5100 dry...
  3. Rough shifting. New transmission likely needed

My 2020 gladiator auto, with approx 53k miles on it recently started shifting hard. Especially in the mornings. Seemed to surge and then shift between 2nd and 3rd. I still have my powertrain warranty as it’s within the mileage threshold, so I dropped it off at the dealer Monday at a 7am...
  4. Utah Sold: 2.5” Evo Lift plush ride coil springs only

I swapped my 2.5” Evo plush ride coils lift with 3.5” Clayton. These were used about two years and nothing was wrong with them. In fact, I think these sat close to 3” as my clayton 3.5 is pretty close to what it was with my Evo coils. part numbers are Evo3068 and evo3069 Asking $400 I also...
  5. Time for front brakes. Are Akebono ACT1589 the true OEM ones?

As some of us found out, a set of new front OEM Mopar pads are north of $200. I don’t see much discussion on brake pads—but are these the ones to go with? I don’t want to cheap out on pads as I tow and have some steep descents. My factory ones are reaching 50k in mountain driving. Not bad if you...
  6. Adding spacers to 2.5” coils or swap for 3.5”?

I’m running 2.5” evo coils and I like the ride paired with my falcon sp2 shocks. I was about to pull the trigger on the Clayton 3.5 but couldn’t help wonder if there is a downside to just throwing in some 3/4” spacers to get a little bit more clearance on my break over or bumper. Would you go to...
  7. Help me find the perfect awning? Or does it not exist?

I’m looking for an awning with a priority on ease of use but will also fit on my racks that don’t go above the roof so 5’ or so in length closed to avoid overhang—or even one that is shorter I could put on the back so it’ll extend over the tailgate.
  8. Metalcloak 3.5 or evo 2.5

I currently have the evo 2.5” with falcon shocks and absolutely love the ride with falcons set to soft. BUT…. Id like a little more clearance and am thinking the metalcloak 3.5 would be a nice next step. Anyone ever compare the two? I think my evo sits a tad higher than 2.5”. Another option is...
  9. 37 Falken Wildpeak At3w vs KO2

I thought I was set on these at3ws after running Patagonias for the past year, but the falken weigh a ton and are even slightly smaller than the ko2?! Both tires in 37x12.5 17. Falken At3w: 82 lbs at 574 Revs per mile Ko2: 64 lbs at 569 revs per mile. now the KO2s don’t sound as bad.
  10. Mileage to expect on Patagonia Milestar 37's? Photo Comparison mile 0 to mile 28,000 update

Below are photos of my 37" Patagonia Milestars. Photo 1 was when I bought the truck and just put them on (JT had ~500 miles) and photo 2 is now-- around 27,500 miles. I rotated approx every 5k miles. On-road I run them at 36 PSI. These were great last winter when newer, but I went way up in...
  11. Grounding to frame or battery for fridge and compressor in bed.

If I want to run my viair 450 I’ll need be able to handle 23 amps which means I’ll need to run 8 gauge if I ground to nearby frame—but if I run back to battery I’ll need to Use 6 awg or possibly 4 awg for the round trip to account for V drop. does this work? Do you recommend frame ground back...
  12. VIAIR Specific Mounting Locations

Lots of discussion and options with ARB Compressor mounts--not a lot for VIAIR. I have a Viair 450P-RV I picked up. While its not crazy fast, its known to be highly reliable and a workhorse. I like it because it has 100% duty cycle and they have some RV winterization kits. I just don't know...
  13. Recommend aux lighting for snow

I’m looking for recommendations on a light to be used in low visibility conditions. Snowing specifically. 1. Amber or amber covers must be available 2. Bright enough they can be used alone without headlights as an option 3. Mounting options low. I’ll likely use my winch grill guard or...
  14. CFX3 fridge issue: Lower volt readout on primary battery—but Jeep shows higher volts on display. Won’t keep cooler cold.

my fridge won’t stay cold when hooked direct to battery, but works when I connect to a real 12v system off the Jeep. I’ve tried it direct to battery and also off the 15a and 40a aux switch. I’m using 14 ga cable so that shouldn’t be an issue either. On Jeep, My CFX is showing about .5 to 1 volt...
  15. Lockers icon blinking after towing

I was just getting home from a trip towing a small RV and when I put on the brakes I felt a few shutters. Felt like the trailer brakes were jolting on and off. After that, the locker light came on and is flashing. Looks like my lockers still work and can engage and disengage, but the light keeps...
  16. Engo 10k XR + JCR Bumper + Factory Steel

We used the JCR Winch plate. I haven't test it yet but the install was a breeze. I did need to go pick up a new 1/2" crow foot wrench to access the ground nut on the bottom. That was a tight fit. I plan to add the Warn Power Interrupt kit this weekend. I'll post pics of that install when completed.
  17. Utah $190 EVO Front Overland Geometry Correction Brackets (New, never installed)

EVO Manufacturing Front Overland Control Arm Drop Set I got these as part of my EVO 2.5" Overland Kit. I'm going to install LCA's instead as I am in rocky territory, so I'm selling these bad boys. I never even opened the hardware kit. I'll be shipping 2x of the Geo brackets and the hardware...
  18. Utah Sold: For Sale: Rubicon Fox Shocks and Coil Springs. Less than 700 miles on them.

I just installed my new lift and would like to move these coil springs and shocks out of my garage. Asking $350 for now. Will reduce price in a few weeks if not sold. willing to ship if buyer pays. Ships from 84121 or local pickup thanks!
  19. Extend Brake lines...

Maybe because the gladiator is new, but I’ve been told different things regarding brake lines. In fact, there’s a whole thread of someone here running a 3.5” lift with responses that they —extended lines—aren’t necessary. I have a 2.5” evo lift with falcon 3.1 shocks—and when my back rear tire...
  20. Procal snap: how to lift the tabs?

I have the procal snap and I’m trying to lift the tabs on each side of the OBD connector per the directions...i couldn’t figure out which tabs they were talking about. The photo doesn’t give much detail. Do they slide up or do they swivel out? I’ll try again in the morning.
