That looks really good! I have an ARE cap and unfortunately it doesn't sound like soft tops work with ARE.
Do you have any pictures of the soft top open in "man bun" mode?
Love my Sunrider. Had one on my last JKU as well. The new JT/JL version is so much easier to install/uninstall. I wouldn't worry about the time at all.
Get a small impact drill or cordless ratchet and it's super fast.
I'm more than happy with my JT's power. Coming from a 1995 K1500 with a Throttle Body 350... this JT rips even with 35s and 4.10 gears. I even much prefer the JT responsiveness vs our 2016 Yukon with the 5.3L. Our Yukon frequently seems to be "caught off guard"...
I've heard about the JT's...
This build makes me really want Jeep to build a Wrangler XL with 3rd row seating! (I know there's a concept vehicle out there with a 3rd row... but hate the safari hard top/tiered seating.)
As a couple others mentioned, here's that post from the Turbine Escort with over 100,000 on his JT in one year with hours of idling: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/100-000-mile-gladiator-review.37221/
Also, this discussion made me think of an old story when my brother got...
That's perfect! Thanks for sending that - that gave me the answer I was looking for.
I'm gonna have to keep running the +18 wheels I have now and not swap to a stock Mojave wheel. Keeping juuuust a little bit of "poke" saved two of my fenders from trees this summer, so I don't want to be...
Off topic... but man that Leer top looks good. By far the most factory looking cap out there. (I have an ARE because I really wanted the opening side windows)
Looks great!
Could you post a pic of your Jeep from straight on and/or looking down the side? I'd like to see how much "tire poke" you get outside the fenders with these tires on the Mojave wheels.
Minnesotan here. CMM Offroad Mirrors. They are spendy, but very solid and American made. I mounted them on the bottom of my grab bar for a more natural mirror location.
As for tires... I'm still trying to figure that out. If you can help it...try to stay away from the 12.5" wide tires...
Seems like a lot of bickering, but no actual deals getting posted. haha. So here's one:
ProClip phone mounts. I've used these in a few vehicles now and really like them. 20% Black Friday sale: BF2022

Right on! I had a 33x10r16 on my JKU and really liked them. When I got the JT, I thought I'd see what all the hype was about and run a 35x12.5 like everyone else... not great. Hard to steer in tight situations (parking in a ramp/small lot/etc), worse than expected in snow/cold.
If I lived...
Great to hear all the positive reviews of the new Baja Boss! I'm not a fan of 12.5 wide I have now and want to go back to a "pizza cutter". I think the 35x10r17 Baja Boss is the way I'm gonna go!
I've got my eye on a few things. Haven't seen any deals quite yet though.
BoomMat headliner
Morimoto Super 7 headlights (or maybe just plain and simple set of Mopar LED's)
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT 35x10r17 from @Discount Tire
Anyone fix this for good? My stock '21 Sport S (with Max Tow) has been doing the same thing when the temps drop below about 40 degrees F.
Dealer can't replicate or find an issue (other than they said my parking brake cable was out of position and rubbing on the bottom of the box... good...
