So all you mechanic types, what could be causing this? I’ve got a definite hot oil smell by the passenger wheel well after about 30 minutes of highway driving. I look under the Jeep and see an oily substance on the passenger side cat O2 sensor with fumes coming off of it. Pic below.
South Florida Jeeps creates a lot of these abominations as well. The are located right down the street for my work. I drive by every day and shake my head.

I was having this problem with both the middle body bolt nuts. I skeptically read the above and thought “Yeah, riiiiight...”

No issues with using the Tazer, or plugging in the 12-8 cable and using JScan. I also found out that the Tazer works as a bypass for the OBDII connector, so JScan works fine with the Tazer plugged in to the SGW connections and the iCar plugged into the diag port as well.

The red circled F05 5amp fuse is in the circuit for the SGM. It evidently was defective from the factory. I replaced it and the Tazer JL Mini works as it should.
Well, it doesn't appear that this is an issue for anyone else, but if it does happen to anyone, I've found some more info.
