At least you have the Mojave which is geared for higher speeds. My manual Rubicon has a big gap between 3rd and 4th gear (to get 1,2,3 togher for trails) making going up the mountains worse than the Mojave!
I live 15 min from there in Dillon and hopefully they are testing V8s. I can tell you the V6 is underpowered for going up from Denver to there. My RAM with 5.7 had no issue at all.
I sooo agree. Jeep sells a ton of vehicles including gladiators where I live in the mountains of Colorado. The V6 is underpowered for highway driving up the mountains, where is my previous ram 5.7 ate up the road.
Funny I traded a 2019 RAM for the Rubicon Gladiator. The new ram is an excellent vehicle indeed, just too big for everyday activities. On the shifting, I bought the b&M transfer case shifter for under $200 and it made shifts in an out of 4H effortless. (I live in the mountains too). By the way...
It attaches to the same cables. However it feels like a different trans. Maybe it's the aluminum pivot point. The throws are not just shorter, but much smoother. It's made by Holley...
I believe sports shifter is indeed lower than stock, likely contributing to the shorter throws. It's also much smoother than stock too. (The transfer shifter is, of course, higher. They end up both being similar height. )
Finally got the B&M Racing short throw shifter and transfer shifters installed on my manual '20 Gladiator Rubicon. They are really great. Both are so MUCH better than the stock ones, both in feel and actions. The sport shifter is 18% shorter throws. The ball is a bit light, but feels much better...

Fate Of FCA Brands
On the FCA side, Jeep and Ram are the profitable powerhouses and, quite frankly, the reason the automaker was an attractive dance partner in the first place. Jeep will only grow in stature with...
The fix was to both use the spacer to tilt sear back (although my knees are almost touching front) AND fill the bucket back with memory foam cushion ( so top of seat doesn't curl me forward)
Let's face it. The new manual is not as fun as the old one. The new one is shift by wire with oddly spaced gearing. There isn't enough room for the clutch and a dead peddle, so your left foot is always weirdly placed. I loved the JK transmission. This one is almost no fun at all.
