Let me start with my truck. I have a loaded Overland with stock wheels and upgraded tires to 275/70R18.
We have a T@B 400 Boondock camper and tow it from Raleigh NC into the NC Mountains (Asheville, NC area). There are some decent hills. We basically go from 100 ft above sea level to 5,000...
Sorry to hear about your experience. Iād be mad too.. couple observations:
1) my fuel economy got better after a few thousand miles, and better still after 15,000 miles. Iām averaging 30.9 mpg these days and 20 mpg pulling my 3,500 lb camper.
2) your photo shows you were driving 50 mph in 4th...
Iām consistently getting 30 mpg. Fuel economy got better around 14,000 miles. Just completed a trip up to Vermont from North Carolina with 29.9 average.
I donāt hesitate to increase speeds to 75+ for passing but typically drive 65-70 in the travel lane. The fuel economy includes city driving...
bad idea. it's too thick an area for the brake controller knob (unless you bore out a large area on the back sie).
The instructions specify the maximum thickness - which is basically the thickness of the thin area.
i have the '21 ecodiesel. I appreciate your comment above but i don't quite understand how I would connect the redarc brake controller to the jeep harness without a wire that has the correct adapters. Which wire are you referring to?
I used TPH-020 and switched the blue & black wires.
thereās one other optional item you can get and thatās the mounting panel. I didnāt use it.

Hi Jean,
Do you have pictures of your finished camper? Inside & out.
I'm originally from Sherbrooke but now live in NC. I'm interested in your camper. Thanks!
Yes, I love my Gladiator.
I drove 250 highway and backcountry miles yesterday and today I feel like I pulled a muscle in my mid-back. Iām 5ā9ā and 165lbs, in good shape, workout regularly.
my Jeep isnāt lifted and Iām running stock tires.
Iāve never had this problem with other vehicles. I...
Got an ARE top for my diesel overland edition today. Also, Iāve driven 1,700 miles so far - city, highway, and a weekend towing my camper up to the NC mountains - overall mpg so far: 31
