  1. Raptor VS Wrangler

Dopamine is a hell of a drug. To be fair, that is (was) one of Dixie 4WD’s shop trucks and is built with coilovers and bypasses, and has been wheeled hard all over Sand Hollow.
  2. Oil pan pickup and angles

This isn't an answer to your question but I've seen a few JL/JTs on steep inclines (35%+) start to smoke oil if they get hung up or are at that steep angle for too long (I'd say at least 30 seconds but probably even longer). I've heard that it's from oil getting into the PCV valve and fed into...
  3. Beefing up the top bed rails

Would these solve the problem? https://americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jt-bras-bed-rail-attachment-system/ Not cheap, but appear to be well made. They sandwich the bed from the top and bottom.
  4. Can I install a front axle with wide track ?

I have a wide track ultimate 44 front axle and the narrower rear axle. It works fine. I also have 37” tires and a lot of poke, it might look sillier with OEM size tires. As far as looks go, it’s only ¾” per side.
  5. SYNERGY BALL JOINTS VS DYNATRAC BALL JOINTS ? ANY PREFERENCE?

I know I'm not answering your question (sorry) but I'd also consider Apex Chassis ball joints. Price is in line with Synergy, and, while they are not rebuildable, they have a lifetime replacement guarantee.
  6. 37 or 38

I just replaced my worn out Toyo 37s with Falken 38s. The Falken 38s only weigh 2-3 pounds more than the Toyo 37s. I was set on getting Toyo/Nittos again but the tire shop convinced me to try the Falkens. I am happy with the Falkens and glad I went that route. Also, the Falken 38s were $10...
  7. Arizona Sold: OEM Front Trail Camera and grille insert. $100

I purchased a used grille to replace some damage on my truck, and it came with the OEM trail camera. I replaced the center insert and have this available. The used grille it came off of was in excellent condition. Will ship at buyer's expense.
  8. Updated 2024+ grille installed on my 2020 JT (temperature readings added)

That looks great! Would you mind sharing if the gray/black lower section is removable and roughly what the distance between the frame rail and the white portion of the grille is?
  9. Who Installed AC in Their Garage?

Phoenix area resident here: I self-installed a 24000 BTU mini-split in my 650sqft attached garage a few years ago. Insulated all exterior walls and portion of garage with exposed roof (garages are usually not insulated here ?!?), as well as added the DIY foam panels to the garage doors. the...
  10. Arizona WTB Sting Gray Grille

Looking for a Sting Gray Grille - sport/sahara/rubicon/mojave trim is not important. Any leads would be appreciated!
  11. JT Gladiator AUX Fuel Tank

https://www.izzyfab.com/product-page/jazz-fuel-cell-filler-plate-for-oem-silverado-pump-sending-unit Izzyfab makes this filler plate, my understanding is that it will fit the oem sending unit and hose can be routed to stock filler location.
  12. What can we do for you?

It looks like steering gears are on backorder again.... Any guess on when they'll be available? Newest part number appears to be 68551690AE. Thanks!
  13. NEW! Elite Series JL Wrangler & JT Gladiator LED Headlights from Diode Dynamics

I would love to be proved wrong, but I was under that impression that there were essentially no LED chips that were manufactured in the US, and that all light companies used foreign made chips, so there were no 100% US made off road lights (although other companies clearly make their lenses...
  14. Tie Rod / Drag Link Choice?

That’s the one! Can’t speak to the steer smarts, but the apex product is top notch and their customer service is as well!
  15. Tie Rod / Drag Link Choice?

+1 Apex and RPM both use Apex’s tie rod ends. Apex offers an option with steel center links, which was what I went with.
  16. 37" Spare wheel carrier

Harbor Freight pelican style case full of tools with tire perched on top. Y-strap and short section of E-track from Macs Tiedowns.
  17. Weld on slider/steps anyone done it yet

Ruff stuff will sell just the end caps to their sliders if you call them. You could trim them to fit the rubicon slider and then run straight 1.75 tube on the outside. They’re pretty cheap- less than $60 for the set I think...
  18. Bent Frame

I've been wondering the same...I know your rear shocks are valved stiffer than mine but we're both on the 'very stiff' end, LOL. I'm thinking that it would be much less likely - the truck is going to absorb the same amount of force on a bump, but with a shock bottoming out, most of that force...
  19. Bent Frame

If the rear shocks are bottoming out before the bump stops, all of the force of the bottom out is being applied to the frame at the upper shock mount (which is right at the bed/cab break on our gladiators) I too would expect the shock mounts to get damaged before the frame bends, but the frame...
  20. Possible tire scam? maxxis razr mt

Mine came in yesterday! Thanks to the OP for warning us of the great deal! I'm already running Toyo 37s that probably have another 5000-7000 miles in them so I'm trying to hold off on installing these, but fresh rubber is so tempting!
