No problem, glad the thread is providing some use to people! Not too active on the forum anymore, but I still have the truck and the Clayton 2.5 lift still working perfect for me. Last year I did all the control arms, it drives great.
Thanks! Just did a ~500 mile drive on the highway and it works great. Very nice ride. I'll probably move the AEV brackets to the highest setting to get a little more camber however, needs a bit more steering feel.
I've got the Timbren SES bumpstops with me, but not installed yet. I want to see...
Alignment sheet from today. The tech said that the left front caster was 4.1 before he hit print, so it's probably right on the edge of 4.0/4.1. It steers ok, but my question is:
Should I try to move the AEV geometry plates to the 3.5+ setting? That should increase caster without affecting...
they ride great! Better than the OEM I think. With all the stuff I had put on the truck, I think they put the shocks too far down in the stroke and made the ride a little harsh. The rear is noticeably better.
Alignment tomorrow, then a freeway test!
update: these airbags arent gonna work at allllll, way too small for these springs. Going to try the Timbren SES system and take these out. Oh boy I get to drop the rear axle again.
Found this thread as I have the exact same issue (Clayton 2.5 rears, RSI cap, steel rear bumper, going to be towing a small overland trailer).
I don't think theres a generic-fit Airlift 1000 that will work with the Clayton 2.5s. My rough measurements are about a 5.5" inside diameter, and ~14"...
Hi all,
By a combination of bad timing, impatience, a time deadline, and perpetual backorder on everything, I cobbled together some options for lifting my Mojave. Here's what I ended up doing:
* Clayton 2.5" springs f/r
* AEV Geometry correction brackets
* Clayton front/rear track arms
*...
Just installed mine....I lack the words to describe just how much of a pain in the ass the controller box was to install. Probably my fault, as the dead pedal mount I have blocked the lower hole. I thought about just zip tying the box up somewhere but decided "naw lets try to get it in the right...
You mean drill out the Teraflex JL front brackets they sell? Been trying to see if someone could give the specifics on that (ie: do you have to drill out both holes, and what size drill bit)
Hey @TheGinger, do the Teraflex front shock mounts require drilling on both upper and lower holes? Also what size drill bit, and can this be done with a vice and hand drill :)
Does anyone know specifically, other than the shock extensions, if there are any differences between the non-Mojave AEV 2" lift, and the Mojave-specific AEV 2" lift?
