Depends on how good of a deal it is. My experience was not good with a Can Am warranty, so I would never get a Canadian Jeep again. If you decide to go for it, get all the warranty information up front and inquire about purchasing/negotiating additional warranty coverage.

Yep! I got the 8.4 unit from Infotainment. The install was pretty easy, it's all plug and play. Sounds like a similar issue to mine. The connecter behind the glovebox would be an easy part to replace to start with! I didn't notice additional vacuum pump noise, but I wasn't listening for anything specific, all the lights and the locked shifter were keeping my attention.
