  1. Gladiators on 35s builds photos please!

Sport S with AEV 2.5 dual sport lift and 35ā€ Falken wildpeak MTs.
  2. Need advice from veteran Gladiator owners - thanks for your help

I absolutely agree. I went with a Sport S because in my area at the time Rubicons and Mojaves were only available on the lots for $65k. I walked out the door at $40k with a well equipped Sport S. My thoughts were that I could do a lot with $25k. I realize I could have ordered a base Rubi for...
  3. guys with 2.5" and 3.5" lifts

I went with a 2.5ā€AEV lift on my sport s with 35s and couldnā€™t be happier. With your Rubi fenders you can fit 37s no problem with a 2.5ā€ lift. The decision mostly comes down to use. In your case it doesnā€™t sound like you will be rock crawling so the extra 1ā€ height is not really needed for that...
  4. Request: 35s with a Lift?

Thanks. Apparently I donā€™t take side shots. This is the best I have even though I donā€™t have the tent on it for the pic. With the tent on there is a 1ā€ rake (higher in the rear)measured to the fenders. I have not measured the body to get actual rake numbers but the AEV lift does have rake since...
  5. Request: 35s with a Lift?

I went with the AEV 2.5ā€ dual sport lift on my sport s. I started with just a Teraflex 1.5ā€ front spacer with 35ā€™s but I had some rubbing in the rear off road and I just didnā€™t like the factory ride. White knuckling every expansion joint was just no fun. The AEV lift is way better on road...
  6. Huge MPG change?

I have also found that aerodynamics play a huge part in the mileage. I have 3.73gears, 2.5 lift, 35s, steel bumper, winch, and bed cover and get an expected 15mpg. With my half rack and RTT(sits flush to roof line)on the bed and the cover removed I get 16.7mpg. So even though there is an extra...
  7. I don't understand the advantages of a Bed Rack

Others have mentioned it but I went with a half rack since the RTT sits flush with the roof and really does not produce any extra drag. Sorry don't have pics with the RTT on yet. Also went with the half rack because the 105l Roam box cannot be removed if the tailgate is locked and the rack is...
  8. Is a 3.5 inch lift too much for 35s?

Those are great looking wheels. I would have had the black ones if they were available when I bought wheels. I just could not take the look of the factory sport wheels for another day so I ordered something in stock.
  9. Is a 3.5 inch lift too much for 35s?

For a visual reference, mine is a Sport S with AEV 2.5 DS lift with 35s. Ended up with about 4" lift in rear and 3" in front. The lift keeps the factory rake which I might install a 1" spacer to reduce it. Just waiting on my RTT and then fully load it to see how it sits. With Rubicon fenders it...
  10. Ohio Nothing to see here. Posted in wrong section.

The short answer is that the AEV wheels are perfectly fine if you only plan on using the AEV 2.5 DS lift with factory control arms. The AEV wheels limit your options to lift kits that use factory LCA's and no outboard shock mounts. Longer answer... There are 3 solutions. Buy different wheels...
  11. Different Lift Methodology = Different Results?

Shouldn't be an issue. Probably only going with a 2.5" lift because I am married. Apparantly l am not allowed to argue that size mattersšŸ˜’. The ride height+ comes with adjustable upper arms so the caster and pinion angle should be ok until I install lca's.
  12. Different Lift Methodology = Different Results?

Good to know. You do have wider axels since in my purchasing excitement "tow package" turned out to not be "max tow". Insert delayed profanities and dad noises here. Either way I don't think there would be an issue on road. Pretty sure the rubbing starts at full stuff/droop at full steering lock...
  13. Different Lift Methodology = Different Results?

Thanks for the info about the control arms. I have not had any other company offer me a reason or the location of the rubbing issues. I am currently running 35"x12.5 and do not have max tow so sounds like I am down to adding a 1.5" spacer so I can run the Clayton lift that I actually want...
  14. Different Lift Methodology = Different Results?

Is there a minimum backspacing requirement for the Clayton Overland lift Kits? I was not able to find the info on the website. The reason I ask is that I purchased AEV wheels with a 5.77" BS before I even considered looking at lifts. A lot of the lifts I look at require a 4.5" or less BS. This...
  15. Finally got my Jeep! Day 2 / 250 miles - Is All this Normal?

Not sure how I missed your post about the tsb. Sorry for doubling it up.
  16. Finally got my Jeep! Day 2 / 250 miles - Is All this Normal?

The overinflated tires is a thing. I read somewhere the dealers keep them overinflated to prevent flat spots from sitting on the lot. Makes sense since a test drive would be terrible with flat spotted tires. However, in my experience the tire pressure did nothing for the wandering. The factory...
  17. Lets see those 17" RIMS !

Found some more scenic photos. A couple of my favorite places on earth, Utah and Colorado.
  18. Lets see those 17" RIMS !

Aev savegre 2 wheels with 35" Falken Wildpeak MTs.
  19. Quadratec

Hopefully they balanced better than the ones I recieved. I was initially looking at death wobble solutions it was that bad. When I had the rebalance done they had to remove the weights and move the location as well as add weights to both sides of the inner wheel. Quadratec is a good company but...
  20. 37″ vs 35″ Tires Side-by-Side Comparison Look

Sport S on 35x12.5x17 Falken MT. 1.5" Teraflex level spacer. I like the look for the street but pretty sure they will rub when stuffed. Looking at 2-2.5" lifts now, but the AEV wheel BS is causing some fitment issues. No rubbing now on the street so thinking Mopar lift will be the best solution...
