    Its a rough rubber material. I have had my ball hitch in my bed for over a week & it hasn't moved yet. The mat is pretty heavy & notched to lock into the bed too. I was going to Linex the bed, but planning on keeping the mat & JCR MOLLE panel in front of box, probably get the side ones too...
