  1. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Yea I probably wouldn't do this trail with a Jeep Jamboree mainly because I would want to go at my own pace and do my own thing. I would like to attend a Jamboree at some point but perhaps where milder trails were available.
  2. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

I thought about removing the rear sway bar but then I came across this video and it gave me cause to rethink it. For now I think I'll keep it, now moreso since I resolved the frame side weakness, but I may later replace it with an AntiRock like I did the front.
  3. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Yea I wanted the geometry brackets for the better handling since it is my daily driver. My understanding is the more parallel the front LCAs are to the frame/road the less jarring bumps are so that's why I went with them. I do plan on getting better control arms with the Clayton kit, but will...
  4. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Cool to run into you again here, that was a fun time on that trail. Thanks for the pics!
  5. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Mine is also the max tow but with the rear LSD. I bought it from the dealer lot that way, I got lucky that they had a max tow Sport S in the color I wanted. I bought it July of 2020 and even got it like $5k below MSRP before it all hit the fan with car prices.
  6. Premature wear on side of drivers seat

Exact same thing happened to my driver seat. Dealer replaced the cushion under warranty. I noticed it as early as around 7k miles and got it replaced just before I hit 20k miles.
  7. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Looks like a simple enough fix. Yea I would rather replace the end links and hammer on the sway bar tabs then have to hassle with the frame side mounts. I tried various things to address those prior to Metal Cloak releasing their reinforcement plates so I am glad they developed those and now not...
  8. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Good info. On the topic of rear end links, I recently got the Metal Cloak rear sway bar link reinforcement bracket and their end links. The factory frame mounts had cracked and the captive nut that is in there was loose on both sides and the reinforcement resolved it. I've seen many pictures of...
  9. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Yea it isn't the ideal vehicle for the trail but pushing its limits is part of the fun lol. You and the others are probably right that I would need a bit more serious mods before I attempt it.
  10. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not very savvy with these areas but I know people that are and I will look into it. I do plan on tie rod and drag link upgrades whenever I do the Clayton lift upgrade.
  11. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Thank you very much for your trail report! It is very valuable insight. Seems I should look into a bit more armor. I would love to add ARB lockers but it is an expensive mod I will likely have to do farther down the road perhaps along with a re-gear.
  12. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Yea I don't mind winching or being assisted lol. I did use my winch once during my most recent trip. I will give challenging obstacles a solid try but don't hesitate to use assistance if it gets dicey. I'd rather do that then break things unnecessarily. The BLD system works well if given a...
  13. How successful would my Gladiator Sport be on the Rubicon Trail?

Howdy all, A friend of mine may be doing a trip to the Rubicon trail next year in his JLUR and welcomed me to come if I dared. My Gladiator Sport has some mild mods that have helped me conquer some more moderate trails but from what I understand of the Rubicon, it is on an entirely different...
  14. Broken tab/weld on Mojave Frame..No Warranty???

I have had the same sway bar link frame mounts on both sides crack on my Gladiator when using the stock sway bar with longer links to accommodate a 3.5" lift. I ended up welding a small gusset along the inside of the tab since the inside is U shaped. Driver side had the captive nut begin to spin...
  15. Lets talk about front seat quality.....

I do not have the seat heaters. Right now I'm at 18k miles but discovered the issue around 10k miles ago but just now getting around to getting a claim going.
  16. Lets talk about front seat quality.....

I am having the exact same issue with the door side bolster on the driver side. I have a warranty claim with the dealer and they have ordered a new seat bottom. I noticed it as early as around 6 or 7k miles. I have the cloths seats and just like your leather seats, the cloth is sunk and creasing...
  17. The most important accessory you can buy

I use a Garmin Mini dash cam that turns on and starts recording on start up. I chose it due to its extremely small size since I didn't want a large cam on an already tiny enough windshield lol. It sits behind my rear view mirror and you have to look real close to see it from the outside.
