  1. Jeep site odd picture

Want all 4 tires? That’s part of the $31,900 Jeep “All 4X Package” plus the $9,985 delivery fees. Spare tire optional. God bless Stellantis pricing!!!
  2. Gladiator is crap for towing

2020 Overland with tow package, no mods. 7,500 of our 44,000 miles have been towing our 19’ 3,500 pounds (dry) Gulfstream. No problems. Handles fine with an Equalizer tow/weight distribution hitch. Making our 4th 1,700 mile round trip to Florida this May. Cruise at 60 to 65 mph.
  3. Frame replacement: Total or repair?

Bought a new 2017 JKU Sahara. 16 hours later with 75 miles on the odometer a driver ran a red light hitting the right front wheel. 11 weeks & $23,000 later (the business owner’s insurance paid) I got my Jeep back. Required a new frame. The Jeep certified repair shop basically hand-built my...
  4. Overheating While Towing

I tow a 19’ 3,500 pound travel trailer with a 2020 JT Overland with tow package. Three years so far with 7,500 miles towing, no issues. Add too much weight, or mechanical problems, it just may overheat. In the real world, my Overland has performed well doing what it was designed to do within its...
  5. Lower MPG than expected. Anyone else?

Winter gas, cold weather, and high winds all kill my mileage. I also find driving at 75 mph. on an interstate reduces my mileage by about 3 mpg compared to 60 mph on a state highway. In winter I average about 16.5 mpg. My Overland in summer will vary from a 10mpg low towing our travel trailer...
  6. Made my Mojave great today.

Test drove a Mojave when I bought my Gladi and really liked it a lot - except for the really loose steering. Ended up with an Overland instead. With a steering fix I’d have had that one in my garage.
  7. Gladiator vs Wrangler

I traded my 17 JKUS for a 20 JTO. When we bought a travel trailer we needed the additional towing capacity. I also found it much much easier to put kayaks in a pickup bed than install and load J cradles on the roof every time I wanted to go out. The shorter JKU was more nimble, but the JT has a...
  8. 2023 build and price is up - Sticker shock!!

Looked at what it would cost to replace the Overland I bought in Oct 2020 with an identical 2023. $6,985 more! Wish my income was up 13% in two years. Last saw this when Jimmy Carter was in the Whitehouse. If we all put away the plastic and our checkbooks for a while, the rate of price...
  9. Overland Model, What do you think

I’ve had my 20 Gladi since Sept, 20. About 5,500 of the 27,000 miles have been towing a 3,400 pound travel trailer. Traded a 17 JKU for my Overland and love it. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and has never let me down. If I can’t get there with my Gladi Overland, I don’t need to...
  10. YOUR Jeep soundtrack... YOUR first choice while on the road or trail

Old dude here - ”The Beach Boys” !
  11. Do I really need/want a bed cover?

My Gladi came from the factory with a soft cover that rolled up and was lightweight. Protected what was in the bed from the elements. Replaced it with a MOPAR hard yeti-fold that gave it added security. Both are worthwhile additions.
  12. Someone should burn this thing!

Not my thing, but thank God we live in America where all of us can make choices.. I you didn’t write the check for it, your opinions and votes don’t matter. Best Jeep is the one in your driveway.
  13. Rear ended with less than 4 days of Ownership!!!

This is how my 17 JKU ended up after 16 hours of ownership and 75 miles on the odometer. A driver ran a red light , and the impact twisted the frame. 11 weeks and $23,000 later I had my new new Jeep back. Have the frame inspected before you sign any settlement.
  14. Floor Mat Options

I had WeatherTechs in my JKU and have factory MOPARs that came with my JTO. The WeatherTechs fit well, but are more plastic that tend to be slippery when wet. The MOPARs are more rubbery and slip less when wet. Both are easy to clean. My preference is for the MOPARs.
  15. Check Your Cabin Air Filter!

Bought one on Amazon. Watched a replacement video on my IPad. Easy task that took less than 3 minutes. At 20,000 it was dirty. Dont pay a dealer to replace it - so easy to DIY!
  16. Couple of questions before I make a buying decision

Pick a couple of models that interest you, and test drive them on city streets, country roads, and the interstate. I drove both an Overland and a Mojave In September, 20. Really really liked the Mojave, but it was very hard to keep the steering centered in comparison to the Overland I bought...
  17. Map update

The update is a colossal PIA. With the last Garmen I bought at Walmart for a fraction of the price for in-screen systems for my cars the updates were free. Love the Uconnect system; hate the map update system and not feeling any love about the cost to update it.
  18. JT owners age group

Mid-life crisis? At 73 I hope so! Always a gear head and still having fun!
  19. Play In Steering

When I bought in Sept 2020 i test drove a Mojave and an Overland. Loved the Mojave, but it steered like a used car from the 50s. Bought the Overland and traveled 17,000 great miles - towing a travel trailer 3,400 of those miles. The Mojave may have had the first gen problem steering box, needed...
  20. Seeking opinions on towing this TT with a Max Tow

Towing a lighter TT without Max Tow. 3,400 pounds dry with 350 pounds at hitch. Mopar brake controller, Equalizer weight distribution / sway control hitch, and Gladiator tow package. Have towed 3,400 miles with no problems and good control. Even survived a near-death experience when a jackalow...
