I spoke with my dealership about this before doing my lift and tires. I asked "how far is too far?", he replied "we don't care". My service guy knows 90% of Jeeps in our area in Texas get completely modified. They get paid regardless. For example, my old JK did not have a single mopar part left...
Look into front control arm drop brackets. I had the same feeling when hitting bumps, the front would wobble. I researched the issue and found a lot of people used a drop bracket to fix it. I installed the Metalcloak version, as there are many kinds, and instantly fixed my wobble. Drove like it...
Quick question, has anyone used the 3.5 springs on the front to level out the 2.5 kit? I ask because after putting on my bumper, no winch yet, I started to notice a lot of drop. I measured the difference from front to back and there is almost 2 inches difference. I am also considering a 1 inch...
I did the same. Purchased the discounted Gen2 version during Black Friday. Took around 3 hours to install with help from the Youtube videos. All my messages went away and I have to say it fires up better than before.
I just installed mine I bought from Black Friday sales. I did all the necessary research and watched videos, but I'm kind of not liking it. I called AWE and they explained to give it time to break in, it will quiet down. Right now, I am driving a lifted ricer lol.
I will say this, it does...
I used an app called Polarity Checker out of the Google store. It took a while to figure it out , but once it made the thumping sounds, I figured it out. You want to fade the sound to the factory speaker first and see if it is positive or negative. Then when you hook up the new speaker, check...
I did the 6x9 conversion. Wayyyy better sound and bass. I do have the premium sound upgrade and this addition made it 10x better. I used JBL club series 3ohm speakers and the highs are just right and put out great bass for a 6x9.
Also, make sure if you do the 6.5 or the 6x9 conversion that you...
I will go on and say, if it ever happens again, I will be replacing the electrical steering system with the PSC steering. It removes all that crap and puts it back to the pulley driven pump. Has worked for decades, the way they should have left it.
Had the same thing happen 6 months after I got it. Turned out to be a short in the power steering pump located on frame rail in front of passenger side wheel. Took a Jeep engineer to look over the data from the computer to see what was causing it to glitch. Replaced it, and now 2 years later...
Ok, I can help you with this. I hve the 2.5 Clayton with 37s, Method wheels with 0 offset. I had the same issues you are having. Before I dropped a lot of coin on replacing all my steering, I tried front lower arm drop brackets first. Completely fixed the issue, and gave me back a more factory...
Shrockworks sliders are my favorite. They are beefy and mount to the frame. Located in Houston Tx. Loved mine when I had them, looked great. Only reason I removed them, was the wife wanted the electric steps. Now have the Rockslide Steps, that are awesome too...
Just one more thing to consider about wheel spacers. Most tire shops will not do anything for you if you have them. Too much risk on their part if something happens like cracking them when torqueing, or the tire just coming off.
Many wheel companies make wheels that are hub centric. I...
About 2 weeks ago I installed the Mopar version. Bought it through my local dealership, it's the premium twill version, and it was around $200 cheaper. I did the install, but later found out if you have the dealership install it, they will write it up on your build sheet so your vehicle warranty...
Ok, about a week ago I got my Mopar Sunrider installed, and I love having it. That said, I have noticed that the passenger side twill top is looser than the driver's side. It flaps and makes noises only on the passenger side, while the driver side barely vibrates at highway speed.
Was curious...
Yeah, I installed mine in like minutes, and it is twill. My wife said she tried the local dealership and they hunted one down. Shipped it to the dealership, saved on shipping cost, and picked it up there. My favorite mod so far. Only thing is I already got sun burned from going on a trip with it...
Wife just surprised me with one from Mopar. Made of black twill and instead of the Bestop tag, it has a Jeep tag. Already put together, including that annoying clip everyone complains about. She went down to the dealership and ordered it through them, 1 day, free shipping.
Will get it...
