These are 1.5wks in… Some of these are bugs tho! Lol
  2. Windshield Defense - A little insurance goes a long way

So, race optics (the mfg) had me a new kit over the weekend since my first issue. Great service and the tech/eng answered ALL my questions in a phone call with install advice. The existing install took another 2 weeks to dry out MOST of the rest of the bubbles - as the film will continue to...
  3. Windshield Defense - A little insurance goes a long way

OK- update: The company Race Optics reached out to me, and with >20 years in business - I was finding it difficult to think it was bunk. So - installation eng tech called me and went over EVERYTHING. In fine detail. In this day and age, a merchant to do that is unheard of - and that...
  4. Windshield Defense - A little insurance goes a long way

Yes - the bubble pictures looking outside appear as if it wasn't pressed down at all or squeegeed. But if you see the night before in the garage...no bubbles...just that weird film trapped in-between.
  5. Windshield Defense - A little insurance goes a long way

I've gone through 6 windshields in 5 years. So I thought - what a great idea....BUTTTTTTT.......Finally got this and Seriously disappointed in this product at the moment - installed last night, very few if any bubbles after install - they squeegeed out but had some weird haze or glue-like...

  7. Washington JT stock red tow hooks - Near Mint

Do you have the rear ones?
  8. who is on original oem aluminum steering box?

Sorry for the delay reply. bottom line: when I went steel, death wobbles started. But steering firmness and road wander was reduced. so far I’ve tolerated the fox dampener upgrade and nothing else added - I wanted to keep a factory / dealer approved installed upgrade and lift scenario. I’ve...
  9. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Took me 3 visits…then they did it. Changed both. Ask to see the charge % on the tech notes each time.
  10. who is on original oem aluminum steering box?

2020 JTR 2" Mopar + 37" Nitto Grappler since new - 16.4k orig Alum, I had accepted having to pay attention / hands on wheel more than any vehicle I've owned due to medium level of JT road wander. Figured get TSB done still under warranty. Better handling/less wander no doubt - what I wasn't...
  11. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Took me in as VIP. Death wobble. Rental truck. now getting fleeced for fox steering dampener upgrade. My cost. For a bandaid. I bet if an alignment was done to verify Toe in etc we’d be better off. But also guess what- both batteries now getting replaced under warranty.
  12. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

I should have never started down this path. In 16000 miles I’ve never had a death wobble and this AM with my triplets on the way to school, I get DEATH WOBBLE 4 TIMES from a man hole cover and train tracks I’ve traversed hundreds of times no issue. Luckily no one behind me and locked up from...
  13. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Found more of the techs notes…aux batt at 52% was reason for it not engaging ESS, all charged to 90%. After a few hours …Anyone know what the “fail” batt % might be to warrant full on replacement? Maybe < 50%?
  14. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Well I’m back. Alignment was not done, but wheel was straightened. And yes, admittedly they did not have the new TSB. So why wasn’t an alignment done then? Wth. Guess if you can eyeball it and get the wheel close it’s good enough. For now - the steering seems straight. I just wanted it out...
  15. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Well I drove down to the dealer just now and showed them the Nov 21 TSB - and specifically pointed out the section that says as long as it fits in a rack - they will do it - it is covered. And the section that says they MUST perform a full balance. WTF. So - She asks me to email it, done. I...
  16. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

This is immensely helpful. At this very moment the dealer says because it is lifted they will not cover it. Dealership installed “covered” lift 2” at time of purchase….ridiculous. No other mods but factory 2”.
  17. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Great advice SP. Hadn’t kept up on all the specifics for that. Always glad we can count on engaged members such as yourself. is there a separate TSB # or alignment is updated in the original? I’ll go search it. Thanks kindly.
  18. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Well as I suspected, visit to dealer to make another drop off. whilst going over the issue of the no ESS, I read the tech notes stating they only charged the batt and I thought they were replacing. Hence it only lasted Half a day. I figured since the battery felt cover and my marks had been...
  19. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Yep…”been charging” for 3 months. Temps good here in AZ tho I’ve seen a few different messages for it over the year and a half.
  20. Has anyone's start-stop system just... stopped working?

Well mine was failing for a couple months before I could finally find time to take it in 2 weeks ago to dealer. I advised the likely condition of a new aux batt needed, they complied happily (and also installed the iron steering box!) and ESS worked for one day and just says “charging” ever...
