I had 5 f150s in a row. All loaded. I traded the last one on a Gladiator Overland and traded that in on a Gladiator Mojave X. Obviously, Iām happy with the Gladiator.
i donāt use my truck for business. Itās my daily driver. I used to tow an Airstream 28ā trailer with the F150, which the...
I had the Overland as well, followed by a Mojave X and went through an almost identical process to yours, as well.
Also, in my case, my wife absolutely enjoys being in the Mojave, but didnāt like the Overland. Primarily because the new one is so much quieter and has a nicer ride. I donāt disagree.
I come from a long line of f150ās. I used to tow an Airstream 28ā trailer and all the associated toys.
We donāt have that trailer anymore. These days Iām more likely to tow an enclosed aluminum tandem axle trailer with two or three dual sport motorcyes in it.
At most, there are two of us in...
When I bought the Overland, I really wanted a Mojave, but couldnāt justify the extra cost In my mind.
When I decided to get a new vehicle a couple of months ago, since I was happy with the Gladiator, I brought my wife along and of course, she liked the color of a Mojave X they had on the lot...
I had a first year Overland, traded a month or so on a ā25 Mojave X.
First off, really like the improved tarmac and sand road experience with the new one, both tow my enclosed motorcycle trailer great and not one thing in these years of ownership has needed fixing. Like absolutely nothing...
Thatās always a good option.
When the Mojave first came out, I test rode one, we couldnāt come to a mutually agreeable deal and I ultimately bought an Overland. I very much enjoyed it and frankly I didnāt even need itās capabilities, as the worst I drove it on was sand or grass, getting to...
In the Volt, the gas engine works as a generator and does not drive the wheels. I donāt remember exactly what failed each time. In both instances it was some kind of.a controller for the Electric motor. The point I do remember, was the technician talking about how many addition electronic parts...
As part of living the green life, we bought a Chevy Volt and loved it for 6 or 7 years. The 90 solar panels on the house kept it charged. The electronics in the car failed twice in the last year of ownership, stranding us both times and cost $2500 to repair. We then sold it.
I like the idea of...
Iām 67. I estimate Iāve had 25 4 wheel vehicles and at least a dozen motorcycles (still have two). The Gladiator suits my activities which includes a couple of hundred miles bicycling road and mtb a week, competitive shooting, scuba and camping. Iām retired.
I think the Harley comparison is right on the mark. A lot of harleys are modified. Some as bar hopping weekend toys to impress the friends at bike night & be part of the Harley culture and others with specific performance modification to make them better bikes, that are ridden accordingly...
Not a single issue. But I put more miles a month on my motorcycle and bicycle, than I do the Gladiator. Less than 4K on the Jeep.
Bicycle and motorcycle work flawlessly, too.....
Iāve loaded track bikes and dirt bikes onto pick-ups 100ās of times, trouble free. I just make certain the ramp is tied tight to the tailgate and ride the bike up. Same to take it off. The times Iāve seen problems is a/ the ramp falls or b/ no rider momentum.
Never had a tailgate fail. That...
I have a well equipped, stock Overland. Iām retired, and use it mainly to drive to shooting competitions, mtb trails, road cycling start lines and driving down to Key Largo to go scuba. And of course, to the grocery store.
Iām driving on either paved, highway or dirt/sand roads and the...
I sold a 28ā Airstream a week before I got the Gladiator. I towed the AS with a f150.
An airstream is a great trailer to tow. It does have a relatively high tongue weight and itās importation to use a load distribution/anti sway system. It makes a huge difference. For anybody intending to tow...
Third Jeep dealership I went to and I bought my Overland there a month ago. We went back and forth a bit, I knew what I was prepared to pay and I was very satisfied with the process. Test drove two vehicles, and total time from start to finish, including driving away in the new vehicle was less...
My f150 had heating/cooling/massaging seats and she prefers the gladiator seats. Drove from central florida to Key largo (around 5 hours) and it was very comfy.
