I’ve performed this (see pic) many Recalls so far with no complaints from any of my customers.
I was the first one in the country to do my personal vehicle and I’ve had zero issues or complaints so far.
You only get a full fuel system if it’s towed in not running due to failure of the hpfp, there are fuel system related DTCs, or contamination is found in the FQS (top of the hpfp)
there’s zero reason to drop the fuel tank and it sounds like your dealer is very inexperienced
Other than part number nothing externally visual.....im told its actually an older pump used on the gen 2 ED that wasn't as susceptible to USLD diesel issues
That is 100% normal. They all do that and it’s actually the fuel quantity solenoid actuating. Has nothing to do with the diesel exhaust fluid as the diesel exhaust fluid is located near the fuel tank in the rear of the vehicle and only runs halfway up the exhaust system itself. It’s nowhere near...
