I just installed a 2.5" Skyjacker lift kit on my JTRDiesel (4 coils, 4 shocks, front spring pad spacer, and 4 longer sway bar links).
It took me about 6 hours to install it. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I've worked on Jeeps plenty before. I have a good impact (Milwaukee M18).

The soft top is not canvas, it's some type of vinyl. I've never had one leak in the fabric unless there was a cut. That was for 10+ years on a TJUL, and countless YJ's.

I've had a 2015 Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel since new, now with 72,000+ miles. I've had only 2 minor repairs to it, both times it was sensors on the DPF.
I liked it "well enough" to buy a new 2021 JT Ecodiesel.

I have a similar knocking when I go over speed bump a hair too fast. In my case, I believe it's the winch craddle that knocks on the suspension.
As for yours... Not sure. I would install a gopro with a camera. Or have someone drive in 4-log while you look from the front and then the sides...
2021 JT Rubicon Ecodiesel here.. Different problem, has anyone noticed a lack of power steering boost at very low speeds? Somewhere between 2-5 mph? This is especially noticeable when parking or doing a 3-point turn. It does NOT lack at 0 mph, just at 2-5.
