Sounds familiar - When new, my rear window was creaking and developed a leak. First time I took it off discovered everything was gorilla-tight like someone took an impact wrench to the thing! Sealed the window by filling the gap with silicone and put it back on with bolts just a 1/2 turn past...
Percent weight on tongue also varies with number of axles. I had a single-axle TT that required a LOT of tongue weight (20%+) to keep it stable. Empty, it was a nightmare. Same with when the holding tanks for the rear bathroom were full. Ended up mounting rack over the tongue for generator...
UPDATE: Fixed it!
Re-installed Tazer Mini I previously uninstalled to troubleshoot. Married to system and checked codes - nothing. Cleared all codes, full reboot, and sleep-cycled twice (open door, ignition on, ignition off, open door, close door, wait until dash goes to sleep, repeat)...
this.....
Shadowspapa is on the right track here
Thanks, I'll try to find it. Would like to have the actual TSB in-hand before visiting my friendly local Jeep dealer.
Both, same issue. I also replaced battery on both, no luck. Lock/unlock/start-stop only work if held a few inches from the cab or while sitting in it. Does not work forward of the windshield or behind the cab. Seems to have about the same range as the fobs being detected in/near the vehicle...
I've read through old posts but no conclusive answer... Has anyone solved the problem with key fobs suddenly having range problems?
As of yesterday, I can no longer use my fob unless standing right next to the door.
I'm on my SECOND rear window. That fixed it for about another year now leaking AGAIN, even worse this time! Stuffed some rubber insulation in the gap just to slow the waterfall until it dries-out. I'm trying the 3M silicone this time, and if that doesn't work - F*ck it! I'll bring a towel. LOL
I opted for the BFG AT2 315s because they were available in Load Range "C" vs the "E" 35s. Don't know if that's the case everywhere. They're much softer in the sidewall and don't "thump" over concrete gaps on the FWY. Also air-down really easy for sand with enough pressure to keep the bead on...
Just thinking the same... I had the dealer leave off my coolant reservoir cap, and even that relatively "clean" stuff painted the entire engine, underside, rear quarter of the truck, my travel trailer, and probably a few dozen cars with pink stuff! Can't imagine 5 or more quarts of oil!
Must...
Those were way worse! At least the Mopars were an improvement. Still not enough to keep it from wallowing at close to max tongue weight. Stock I was getting seasick. :CWL:
Mopar 2" lift +1/2" front spacers, 35x12.5x17 BFG AT's on 8" zero-offset Method wheels.
Note: Didn't know at the time of purchase the MaxTow has sport fenders with Rubicon width axles. Looks like a regular sport would require about -22mm offset for same spacing. I know this because I wish I...
Anyone had to get this fixed more than once? I already had a whole new rear window warranty-fixed on my '20 about 2 years ago. Noticed last rain it's leaking AGAIN, but now out-of-warranty.
Wondering what kind of response I'll get from the dealer, but haven't had time to take it in yet. Of...
Came here to say the same. I'd be really surprised to hear about overheating issues (unless you have an idiot dealer tech forget to put your coolant cap back on like what happened to me once). I've towed 6,500+ lbs up a long grade at ~4K RPM in 115 degree heat and no issues. The gauge is...
You're spot-on with the alignment issue. Airbags in the rear springs helped save the fronts from scrubbing off the outside tread. Not sure why front shafts failed. I assume from driveline angle being nose-high because the joint failed (started howling and rumbling on the fwy one day). I...
Use cases vary a lot. Should have added that I regularly towed a 6K lb boat around. Even though it's within spec according to the owner's manual, and two of those driveshafts were replaced under warranty, third time the tech asked "you tow quite a bit?" and shook their head when I said yes...
