I am running 40’s are you still thinking 4.88 is the best choice or highest ratio one should go in our axles? (My application is daily driver and weekend rock crawler, with towing 2,500 lbs 1-3 times a week via trailer)

I do not have any pics to show but I bobbed my last rock crawling daily driver an 84 toyota pickup and I am working out the details to put my gladiator under the knife. Just got it 3 weeks ago and I am busy putting on the lift, rack etc first but then its time to improve this departure angle!

I bought a Evo 4.5" lift and working on deciding on which tires to go with. With 40's obviously I need to find somewhere else to put the spare but I am considering going with a 37" spare so I can keep it in the stock location. I have not found a rear tire carrier that I love and for the amount...
