Switching from Mud Terrain to the AT4. I have a single Falken Wildpeak 37x12.5x17 Mud Terrain that has never seen any pavement. It is dirty, but has never been bottomed out and should clean right up. I would love to sell it here rather than get nothing from discount tire...

Update: @jerjon was not wrong... at least in my experience with the American Iron Gladiator specific Ball Joint Delete Kit.
My was installed with the correct geometry, although likely over torqued. Drove like GARBAGE, no return to center, downright stiff and at times SCARY. Had a reputable...
Guys, I had a shop, not naming names at this point, install the American Iron deletes. Drives like shit, and does not look right! Can anyone, @Darkspeed take photos of their setup so I can compare and see what is fucked up here... Looks like they pressed the bottom bearing in the wrong way.
I used the springs from the Clayton kit but added a 3/4" spacer to the rear to account for the topper/roof rack + 4 Gallons of Fuel. It has a slight rake forward.
You did the Dynatracs, right? How many miles and have you rebuilt them yet?
Seems like rebuilding them will be a requirement regardless of make... I'm between the Dynatrac and the American Iron. Running 37 Wildpeak MT's and Black Rhino Arsenals, heavy setup... and I don't baby her...
Any updates to these solutions. My ball joints are shot at 30K miles, feels like someone is hitting my front axles with a hammer going over small bumps... I am researching solutions.
I did not do anything with the tie rod or drag link. I do not typically do any rock crawling or high speed stuff. The truck is simply built to get me to some remote areas for hunting and camping purposes. I figured those upgrades would be overkill for me.
I did end up replacing the fox shocks...
I like the mounts behind the cab. Do you have more detail on the mounting method?
Interested in the clearance there and if you will have contact with off-road conditions. If ditch the cap for a period of time I am stuck with a single tire setup.
So I started with brass wyes and hose clamps too... they busted under high pressure so I went to the Flexilla fittings with a threaded Tee. I used heat shrink on the fittings to keep them from marring the paint on the side of the truck.
I really debated the Pros and Cons of both a PowerTank and a Compressor based air system for a while. I ended up choosing the PowerTank route because of the simplicity, time to air up and the convenience of a local CO2 fill station. I started some research on buying a 4 tire system from...
I'll probably make a dedicated thread for this modification but the RSI SmartCap is an integral part of it so I'll start here. I built a 4 Tire Air Up/Down System into the bed of the Gladiator using the hydraulic front brackets as mounting locations for the air quick connections. Take a look.
Update... Still loving the topper and functionally it does everything I thought it would.
I have a leak though and I think it is related to the seal and leaking glue everyone is experiencing. I did have the leaking latches like everyone else, they seemed to resolve themselves and no longer...
No update is a good update... Everything still normal after a few shake down rides. Really was worried they would notice the 5.13's in the differential and the lift and the Tazer and just deny the warranty. Especially the gears... because that's wear the damage likely occurred when they were...
Just an update for those interested...
Dealer found a fuse blown indicating a short. After digging through the truck all day they found the short in the rear diff locker. It was shorted to ground. They removed the connector and found the red power wire was rubbed through due to a sharp edge...
Yes initially retires rub the front lower control arms at full lock. It’s noticeable and not something you’d want to drive with, It certainly interferes with normal parking operations. I added inch and a half spider tracks spacers.
Leaving a restaurant tonight I turned on the jeep to pull out of the lot. I got out of the lot before I noticed traction control go off and then differential lock started flashing. Then Sway bar disconnect unavailable. Then service 4WD. Didn't do anything funny today, drove a standard 125 miles...
