For over 700 bucks I can stop and clean my lights off!!! :)
Honestly, Ilive in Vermont and have LED lights. I don't notice a big need to clear them typically. Other times in a wet freezing snow/rain/sleet mess maybe sometimes. But for that price, I will stop and clean. :)
My wife loves ducks and used to have ducks as pets when we had a farm. There are about 6 ducks on my truck dash (ugh) and 2 on her Mail jeep dash. I was told to leave the ducks alone.
I'm the boss of my truck. She almost agrees.
I have seen this for a bit. IMHO, I like it. What does it hurt telling me there is probably going to be a lot of rubbernecking ahead. It offers me an alt route that I may discover something cool. Meh, I figure I paid enough for this truck I will take everything they give and still want more. :)
The USPS provides vehicles for routes not individual carriers. One Rural route one vehicle, 20 million drivers. Yes, they are plaining on providing vehicles for every single route in the country as of now. Will that change... Probably. However, your Post office is no different than thousands of...
I've worked as a rural carrier and my has worked as one for almost 20 years. The height does matter. Do this 6 days a week for 600+ boxes. Arm and out, it takes a toll on the body. THe better the height the easier and less damage on the body. Now most rural carriers use their own vehicles...
I'll chime in here. As a former CDL "A" holder, off roader, fire fighter, and general hobbyist who knows nothing... I was taught this, Mount you fire extinguisher low and very securely. Have easy access from a door with simple release catch. This is so when things go south (as they always do)...
I'd add I'd do this anyhow. Ass long as I am around. Hit me up. I am normally around and this summer we have no big vacations scheduled. I'm always up for making new friends who Overland, camp, love the freedom of camping, and just plain good folks.
I'd offer up my place. It could fit 1 or 2 spots (tent or small camper/trailer). in VT I have 19 ish acres of woods. Near a state park with 25K acres, Full of hiking trails easy ones or hard ones. Currently behind a livestock gate and barbed wire. Mostly unlevel :) but access to my land can be...
✌ Vee- for Victory all the way. This is what I throw most of the time. Many times (I was in the US Navy) I think of the old timers (now) that drove these and other rigs to Victory so I could spend my hard earned money how I please (as long as I don't tell the wife) , LOL. More Jeeps
-Story time-...
There are laws about how roads are to be built. If those laws are followed, Great. If not they need to be enforced and or changed. If you think for a minute they won't enforce the laws concerning you, you are wrong. Its not about suing its about enforcement.
We all pay taxes for this or that...
OP,
The only person who has to be happy with it other than yourself is your wife. Convince her or suffer the consequences. ;)
Seriously, she is the only one who matters in your life.
I didn't read all of them. I hope I am not duplicating.
I do the Jeep wave, both locally and cross country. If you live locally to me and don't wave... I may have a second and third thought before helping you if you are broke down.
In 2012(ish) my daughter learned how to use a manual on a 1988 Wrangler. Right in the driveway. Ours has a steep portion but is short and flat top and bottom. Drive up in 1st, shift into reverse and back down in gear. No coasting allowed. She learned how to manage braking and throttle in...
