I second (third, fourth,... tenth) the Clayton recommendations, .... including reaching out and talking to Clayton, because they actually respond.
I have both the 2.5" regular and diesel specific springs. I'm currently (for the last 70k mi) running mine with the regular springs, but I have...
Thx! I'm thinking the issue might be 5. above...and if so, it might have been the problem $1198 ago. Yes, the dealer has a 3yr warranty on their work, but I don't know how that will play out if they fixed the wrong thing.
Thx again for the info!
Hey folks,
at 98k mi, I've gotten a CEL and error code P01C5, which the dealer service rep says is a "Fuel Pressure Sensor Circuit Low" error.
Looking back over my service records, at 92k mi, I had a DTC for a Fuel Pressure Sensor, and the mechanic notes state "Replaced fuel lines assembly...
@Sunnysideup is spot on with the Cook City recommendation. Top of the World area up there is spectacular.
If you are doing the Idaho BDR and crossing over to Montana, you are likely going to do that via Magruder and/or Lolo pass. If you do, keep me posted... you'll be driving within 4 mi...
... just sayin,.... there are places where you don't even see the planes! Not going to say where... cause I don't want to give up my hunting/fishing spots. Just get your jeep out there!
I agree on the Gobi JTR. If they had Gobi when I ordered mine in Dec 2020, I would have gotten it. Settled for Sting-gray.
Love the recap. My brother lives in Hurricane, ... smelling a road trip in the near future!
Back in the day... I bought a 2012 JK "for my wife". After putting 35's on it, my 10 year old son was asking "mom, why is that guy waving at you?" She appropriately answered "he's not waving at me, hes waving at the jeep!".
You may be right.
The troubling thing is that through this period, we were dealing with the CP 4.1 fuel pump issue, and unavailability of the solution, that we were all focused on not shraplnelling our fuel pump, and not focusing on not clogging our DPF. I've seen a post somewhere about using...
I had a oil service done at a remote dealer while snowbirding south about 80k mi, and they said at that time that it was throwing some DPF errors, ... and they diagnosed it as a DPF sensor failure, but the sensor was on a couple month back order. By the time they got the sensor, I had already...
.... or maybe not. My DPF died at 85k, on almost exclusively (expensive) dealer oil changes... and ... none of the 3 costly emissions failures I'm replacing at 85-92k miles is covered on the Mopar 100k powertrain warrantee. Even the fuel sensor on the fuel return line.
I have bird dogs, and have a Garmin tracking collar that has InReach built in, so I can text from anywhere. I also recently got starlink for my camper when I'm camping remotely.
... or in the most sparsely populated location in the most sparsely populated state in the lower 48.... literally!!!!
... Jeep commercials want to make you think you can take these vehicles to remote locations.... well I'll tell you that 3 of the last 4 times I've taken them there,.... I've had...
... so back on the sub-topic here of what parts to stock up on if keeping the ecodiesel long term. (didn't someone above mention "Sensors"?)
We've already discussed:
- DPF (replaced at 87k)
- DEF Pump (replaced at 91k)
- EGR cooler
- Lift pump??
Here's one that is now getting painful...

I think this is the new intention of Stellantis. After they canned the CEO for the pricing and electrification fiascos, the new CEO said he's bringing the Hemi back... and said there would be one in the Gladiator.
Everyone starts dreaming about 392 or Hellcat at that point, but I agree that...
Yes, please! I was stuck in far NE Montana, on Friday afternoon of a 3 day weekend, no service departments answering phones till the next Tues. Nearest dealer was 60mi further east in Wolf Point, on the Ft Peck Indian reservation, Had to decide whether to sit tight for 3 days, and chance it...
Mine was a crack where the lower/passenger side bracket holds the radiator in place. The service manager at the dealer said he had seen/heard of that same failure at the same place on multiple Wranglers.
One of the earlier posters on this thread posed the question as to if Gladiators...
Weighing in as one trying to make a decision about long-term ownership.
A quick background:
2021 JTRD, recieved delivery in Dec 2020.
- First 30k miles beautiful
- Cracked radiator at 33k mi on a trip in Kalispell MT, while towing my camper (this seems to be a common Wrangler problem as well)
