I have a rubicon, factory lift, with 35” tires. My wife recently scratched the paint and left some grooves on my hardtop as she barely scraped the ceiling of a garage that advertises a 6’ clearance. I say barely as she and my nephew thought they had enough clearance until I showed them my roof...
Are you still looking? I have a set of 4 OEM from my 2020 Rubicon with the original tires with just less than 14K miles on them that I am getting ready to sell. I live in Virginia west of DC but visit my nephew in NJ
thanks - that was the only reason I was considering them. I live off of a dirt / rock road and my paint is getting nicked up more than I am willing to accept. Not to mention getting mud on my passengers when the doors are off haha
I highly recommend. Great for people new to rock climbing - whether you want to go often or not, it is great for learning your jeep’s capabilities. Add to that super nice people and a fun time, definitely worth it
I also went with the toyo 35s on my rubi, although mine are a bit wider than that. Traction is better, I think take off is slower but I added my winch at the same time, so double whammy. Police road side speed indicators show 2 mph higher than my speedometer. I took it off road a couple of times...
A few pics from yesterday. I was the photographer so none of my truck except for the overall Jeep line up - mine is front left.
the staff was great, and I really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend for non seasoned off roaders.
that is exactly it - such a good time and a good learning experience, especially with the usage of all of the off road goodies that come with our jeeps. I wouldn’t take the class twice, unless my wife wants to take it someday, but I recommend it if you aren’t a seasoned off roader. I definitely...
I attended a Jeep Adventure Academy class and trail runs yesterday. They didn’t go into it in 4 H, but said it smooths out the surges an shifts when in 4 L, and extends the shift points to higher rpms, giving more control when climbing.
I used it off and on throughout the trails. I did like it...
Sure - here is the link in case there are others who would like to check them out:

i called the venue and as far as they know it is still a go, so I’ll be driving up tonight with my rain gear :)
I’m scheduled to attend the Jeep Adventure Academy in Coal Mountain, PA on October 1st. Does anyone know how to contact JAA to see if it is still occurring? I emailed them but the auto reply is that it may take another business day to get a response. There are flash flood warnings and several...
Try changing your charging cord - I’ve found that mine doesn’t work when I use cords it doesn’t recognize for some reason even though they work fine everywhere else
I thought the same when I got my new wheels - black seems to be everywhere on every type of vehicle where I live. I went with bronze and love the look, although I have granite crystal paint. I get a ton of compliments on them. i just took a couple of shots for you, but my Jeep has a layers of...
I use a soft cloth wash that does a good job if I spray the mud off first. We have a small farm off a dirt road so it’s dusty or muddy 1 mile in either direction
I have used a leaf blower on the inside when the top has been off for awhile
question: does anyone with a light bar use a car wash...
