Went to test drive / make offer on Mojave over the weekend. Got to test drive two of them.
Both vehicles were over inflated and aired down prior to test drive. The one I wanted and was going to make an offer on was all over the road. Told the guy this thing is not right.

I tow on winding / steep roads and the 6cyl is just pathetic and gets scary on some steep grades. Granted I've only towed with something that made good power.
I also think the 6cyl is underpowered. Gladiator deserves and needs the 5.7 imo
Of course they were going to have massive issues towing with that set up. Its all about setup. However with that said the gladiator is not an ideal towing vehicle even with ideal set up on anything other than flat roads compared to a silverado or etc. Just goes with the territory.

More concerned about the length of the trip. I know jeeps are not the best for towing and lots of reviews of the trailers "drifting" and etc. Not concerned about going around town but the 10+ hours trips. With 4 people in the truck and etc
My only experience towing with a jeep was my buddies...
Looking into picking up a new gladiator however have concerns with towing(long distances) and payload capacity. Just wondering if it's capable or safe.
Basically I've settled on the Mojave over the Rubicon for several reasons as I spend most of my time driving on the beach or through Maines...
