Hey y'all, I'm unsure if this is the right place for this, but I didn't want to join a Willys forum before I even own one! This ad is on FB marketplace, so if you can't click it, it's a 1963 with the 4 cylinder (rebuilt with 3k miles), manual trans, new crank, 4" lift...
Alright, I didn't buy the Mojave to tow. But....I have a travel trailer I need to get to our new house when we move in two weeks. It's a 250 mile trip from Fairplay, CO to Durango, CO, so some hills for sure, but a net loss of 3000 feet in elevation.
I have a brake controller and WD hitch, so...
I bought a set of these from the Amazon warehouse for 60 bucks, along with the taps and drill bits to install them. All in all it cost me less than the original price, and I get to keep my original rails. I think I've figured out where to drill the holes, going to install this weekend.
A member (Elgius) posted about these last year and I bought them and I'm ready to install. I see where to tap the M8 threads and screw that bolt on, but I can't figure how (or where) the second hole goes for the through-bolt with nut. Any ideas? It seems like it would have to go through the top...
