My old boss has a grenadier and loves it. I’ve driven in it and it is a nice step up luxury rugged feeling compared to the Jeep Wrangler. I’d buy one if I was in the market
I’m looking at the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE models for the hybrid powertrain and relatively good experience with mild hybrids in the past. Currently drive a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid and have been pretty happy with it. I’ve had 125k trouble free miles.
I’m looking to “upgrade” my daily for more...
Every 5K on oil and filter. Every 25K on diffs and transfer case. It’s just easier for me to keep up with and since I have a 2020, the drain and fills are easy.
Our 3.6L is not a DI engine. With the multiport FI, you really shouldn’t need this.
All of the DI engines (without port injectors) have carbon issues and many have to have the intake and ports cleaned with walnut or similar when they start having issues. I know on the Gen 2+ Ford Ecoboost...
Basic maintenance on my 2018 Ford Expedition. Transfer case and oil change. I was overdue on the transfer case but probably more maintenance than most do. I change every 30k miles. I had more than that on this sample.
As bad as a reputation as Jeep has, my 2006 WK with Hemi and my 2020 JTM have been the most problem free vehicles I’ve had except my 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 132k miles on it. I’ve had zero issues except routine maintenance which I keep up with myself. My 2004 Ford Exploder was horrible and...
2020 JTM with just about every option. Approx 38K miles.
Only issue I’ve had has been a faulty rear locker sensor which was replaced under warranty. Other than that, they replaced the aluminum steering box with the steel update but wasn’t an actual breakdown or fault
Still on the original...
My Mojave is consistent on average 15/18. Towing my boat it’s 8-9 mpg. I didn’t buy it for mileage. I have my hybrid sedan for that and average 41-42 very consistently.
I’ve changed mine at 3775 after a long trip (was planning 2500) and then 5000 then every 5K after. Send in my oil analysis to Blackstone every time. Cutting open the filter after the first oil change was eye opening to say the least.
2020 JTM

had dealer replace the steering gear through the customer satisfaction TSB
only true warranty work was the rear axle lock sensor malfunctioned and they replaced it.
it’s no half ton but I do put it to work
