I ran my HD Traffic cable along the bottom edge of the windshield, where Garmin says you'll get the best reception. Used zip ties to keep it flat.

Since the shovel head is read, you've got to get creative. The eyes should be bloodshot, etc...

I found the RAM Mounts "C" class ball mounts (1.5") to be more sturdy for the Garmin Overlander.

Not to mention Jeep has a water fording depth rating of over 30".
