I have the no doubt lighter duty black and decker version of this. Love taking it on the boat for inflating floats. It has settings and fittings for tires but I wonder if it could really handle the job. Any thoughts?

That was a little bit of a consumer reports type evaluation. CR could review the new corvette and while they agree that performance is stellar, they would ding it for trunk space, fuel mileage and ride. Duh. Some vehicles are inherently a trade off and thats the whole point. Not everybody wants...

Wellllll that outlook means that pretty much everything would have to be overly safety engineered (idiot proofed) or banned. Do you know how many people die in unusual or freak accidents from every scenario imaginable with a motor vehicle? Especially one designed for off road and top removal etc

I participated in another thread on this. I very much dislike this "safety" feature. Apparently it was designed by lawyers in the wake of some actor who ran himself over. Ironic of all the things on a jeep that could be "unsafe" and we are forced to deal with this for those perilous driveway...
