  1. The Philistine thread - non-lifted Gladiators and not likely to be, either

When I bought mine, I was looking for a good 4wd for when the weather gets sideways here and something that would ride better than the Ram 2500 I had (10k suspension rode like a bitch). It needed to tow the boat and a utility trailer, which it does beautifully. The wife and I both love this...
  2. Key Fob Mod

I just kind of stretch a rubber band across the gap and close the key on it, then trim the rubber short. Holds the key in place until I need it again, which is rare.
  3. Anyone interested in an experiment?

Having worked for an oil company as a service tech years back, I can tell you that anything added to the gas was at the tank farm the trucks fill at. The same gas came in, and they'd mix additives for whatever company they were supplying accordingly then load the trucks. I had multiple...
  4. Key Fob Follies

I just close the key with a bit of a rubber band wrapped around it. Keeps the key from opening till I need it.

I actually had one of those when I was stationed at China Lake, Ca. Loved the truck.
  6. Gasket for Mopar Gorilla Glass

Per a guy from Safelight... the windshields use a butyl adhesive and not a gasket for installation. The rear window uses a gasket.
  7. Tailgate material?

From what I understand it's aluminum
  8. Fenders fading already - less than a year!

We bought a can of that and tried it on my wife's 2010 Wrangler. It looks amazing! Now, we'll see how long it lasts.
  9. Mounting GMRS antenna

We used the Daystar Univ firewall boot on ours to run the cabling/wires into the cab. Fits like a glove. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004K2285E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. Mounting GMRS antenna

The wife and I both use this type mount mentioned here with our 2m/70cm ham units. So far they're rock solid and no complaints.
  11. Gorilla Glass

May have to look into this. Got a rock top right on my windshield yesterday, and we watched as the chip turned into a 2 foot crack across the thing. To say the least, I'm not impressed.
  12. Bed Liner - Spray on or drop in?

After having both, I prefer the spray in. The drop in slid around and basically scrubbed the paint off of the bed. I ended up getting the spray in because of it. I've had Rhino lining and Line-X in various vehicles. The Rhino product is softer and tended to peel. The Line-X so far has held up...
  13. I told you so!

"Also, odds are her favorite Toyota, Honda, or Subaru is made here in "America". " Toyota's are built here in Tx.
  14. Hard top removal

Just looked at those. $4 grand is insane in my book.
  15. Surprise! Not as secure as I thought

I wonder how feasible it would be to wire in a sound recorder that played the sound of a rattlesnake when the doors were opened? lol. Might just scare a burglar off.
  16. Surprise! Not as secure as I thought

  17. New Legit Medical Reason - Quieting the JT or JL Cabin

I feel ya brother, too many years around steam turbines aboard ship took it's toll on me as well. Hope you find a solution. There's lots of soundproofing materials out there.
  18. Quadratec Gladiator Giveaway Damn!

I like the bumper on that. Wife and I have talked about having front and rear fab'd with all the cutouts for sensors, etc.
  19. Re-engineering the brick (keyfob)

I half expected him to cut/stab himself using the knife to pry it open. That said, I've done the same and yes did cut myself. Lesson learned.
  20. I hate thieves

After getting robbed of about $800 worth of stuff a couple weeks ago the wife and I have little sense of humor about finding anyone on the property. Had a couple Monday night ran out of gas and parked in my drive at 2 am and our dogs going nuts. Found em looking around for a gas can. They were...
